After watching Michael in theater, I felt the need to create a carebear as a tribute to MJ, because he really was a living carebear, spreading the love and trying to unite people ❤️
It's my way to deal with loss and heal the grieving of one of the greatest artists and persons of all time.
I decided to use his vitiligo to highlight symbols of his personality and history :
- The fire for the pepsi incident and how he gave away the money to the hospital healing burnt people.
- The leaf, for his implication for Nature, Earth Song, how he loved climbing trees and found inspiration for his songs in one of them.
- The happy kid because he protected children all over the world and remained a playful kid in his heart.
- The pixie dust for his love of Neverland and Peter Pan.
- The mic and musical note for his undeniable talent at singing (and dancing, represented on his tummy).
- The hearts because he had such a pure soul and had the biggest heart, caring for and loving everyone.
- The Mickey symbols for his Captain Eo video and how much he loved Disneyland.
- The moon for his moonwalk and Thriller.
In his back, I would make symbols of wings and an animal paw in a human hand, a bit like Brother Bear, to represent his love for animals.
I took the colors directly from photos of MJ.
Healing Bear loves to sing and dance to share his love to the world. In doing so, he heals the world and makes it a better place... ❤️
