My illustration for Swim On Vol. 10, a shark conservation charity zine hosted in 2024. All the other animals here are species that blue sharks have been known to eat.

My contribution to Swim On Vol. 8, a shark conservation zine that was hosted a few years ago. The colors are inspired by late 90s/2000s ocean paintings, resulting in a piece that has a totally different vibe than my usual work.

my hourlies, i returned home from a convention today and it was a long road trip with some stops on the way. didnt get to do every hour and thats alright cus after this it was just uneventful driving lol.

an average day

More sketches at the park, much more successful results today. Plus more photos of the small things I love. The teeny tiny mushrooms are (probably) bark mycena, and I was so excited because I’ve never seen them before and only noticed because I was looking closely at the lichens.

Attempted to draw this lichen-covered knobby tree branch, but it proved pretty difficult. Trying to get down the irregular branch shapes clearly while also sketching in all that lovely texture was just not as successful as I’d hoped it would be. Was a fun exercise, though! And a nice excuse to observe tiny natural details that I love. I’ve included some other pics I took today, so you can also see just how many exciting things there were to find.
