In the Tools project, the task was to make a section of a catalog of tools that follows the criteria of the Whole Earth Catalog. We had to compile a selection of items relevant to one content. My theme of the project was saving money and time. I collected 12 items which I personally use and highly recommend. The process of making the layout was a bit difficult for me. I made a number of different prototypes designed in the strict form. During the process of making, I realized that my layout should be more dynamic and playful to the reader’s view. That is why I decided to highlight the keywords of my section which represents the content of the economy. I did it in the way of drawing some doodles and illustrations on the images and text. Also, I included price stickers which I made by myself with the aim to show the price point in a pleasant way to the consumer.
