This project was about exploration through a certain subject which in this case was a body part. My body part was the lungs. The starting point was research which gave me the opportunity to come up with my three outcomes. I explored the lungs in different angles such as function, appearance, symbolism, diseases, and history. The most interesting findings in my research were about the function, aesthetics, and symbolism of the lungs.
Textures and patterns of the lungs were the main concepts of my first outcome which is a poster and postcards with a content of propaganda about anti smocking. The main feature of this work is tactile prints which clearly display the look of normal lungs and smokers lungs in three- dimensional view on a medium of the simple poster and postcards.
