chan may have played a huge part in the stray kids name, their logo, & their songs but the crux of the matter is that he CHOSE his members. and i don’t mean just that he picked them and made them into a group, i mean that he chose THEM, specifically, over everything else: over sleep, over his own recognition. he’s constantly hyping up his members–this is the kid who BAWLED when minho and felix were eliminated, who simply took responsibility and wanted forgiveness when they returned, who is just constantly in the corner squealing and hugging himself while shooting fond heart eyes at his members and encouraging them 24/7. even before they’ve debuted chan has made sure to establish an incredible bond with his members and convince them beyond a doubt that they, specifically, have been chosen BY HIM
