Your hands wrapped around your cup, the friend in front of you had a expression of pure confusion, I mean, you just threw the bomb on his face like it was nothing.
Let’s go back, shall we? For the past two months you’ve been trying to make Yuta break up with you— not successful of course, he loves you too much to even think of a life without you, that was the problem.
You are not a bad girlfriend, yet, you feel like Yuta is too much for you to handle. He’s perfect, always looking out for your well being and putting his own interests aside.

The perfect boyfriend you feel you don’t deserve, that’s why we are on this situation.
“So, he didn’t care about your jealous breakdown?” Your friend ask, looking even more confused than you, it makes sense, he gave you the advice to start acting like a toxic girlfriend who can’t stand to see him near girls.
Which, didn’t work at all, you still remember how you yelled at him and he… well, Yuta looked so excited and guilty at the same time, is that possible? If it isn’t, Yuta just made it possible
“I tried to be disgusting, I mean, who in earth would stay when they ask you not have friends?” You looked more frustrated, of course you are.
A jealous mess, ghosting him, being disgustingly clingy, being mean, all of that and Yuta kept coming back to hold you in a hug. He must be thinking you are crazy, how can you change from not wanting to see him to wanting to know where he is 24/7?
You’re going to give up and just break up with him yourself, it’s not like it’s hard, you just don’t want to see his face when you break his heart
Aren’t you trying to break his heart with all the things you’ve been doing?
“What about if we make him jealous?” Your friend said, his hand moving his cup to be next to yours.
The idea spins in your head, Yuta isn’t the type of person who gets jealous, he simply feels insecure if you’re spending too much time with someone, but that’s normal isn’t it? The idea of seeing him jealous sends a spark to your brain, that sounds good.
He doesn’t know how jealousy feel, and since he cares too much for your well being he’ll break up with you to not mess up your relationship with toxic feelings
That’s a good one, no heart breaking, just a mutual commitment.
You pulled your phone out, taking a quick pic of the cups. But that isn’t enough, Yuta is used to you posting your food and he’ll think it’s just you doing normal stuff, so, before your heart aches in guilt you pressed the heart emoji.
“Put an eco on it, make it look… romantic” If this works out, you’re going to be so grateful to your friend.
Yuta was hanging out with his own friends, but the sound of their voices fade to nothing when his phone buzzed in a notification. His enthusiasm was normal, he only has them on for your texts or new posts, that is enough.
What could it be? A photo of your outfit? No, that won’t be, you usually tag him on your selfies so he can repost them, and he only heard one notification. Ah! It must be a photo of your food, you’re such a cutie pie, he needs to memorize what you ate so he can order it for you on the next date
But his smile fades, his eyes moving to analyze the story.
A… love song? A heart emoji, the pink one with that little motion, the one you use for him. That must be a misunderstanding! Oh, wait he knows what is happening, you thought of him when you ate that
Maybe you ate it and wanted Yuta to taste something delicious too, it makes sense, he posts pictures of cute things when it reminds him of you. Are you soft launching him? What a silly thought! You have highlights together, you’re just reminding people you’re taken.
But his breath hitched when he saw it, the same heart in an echo pop up. Your friend, not your best friend— He is your best friend, he made sure of that. However, that doesn’t change your feeling towards that scumbag who calls himself your friend.
He reposted the story, did you tag him? So the story isn’t about him.
The audacity to try to take his place beside you.
He needs to calm down, there is no way you posted it with romantic intent, he knows you too well
Okay, he needs to see your posts together to calm his aching heart, that must be enough.

That can’t be, no, he is being paranoid. They have to be there
But they aren’t, just your usual posts of your gorgeous face.
He needs to call you, there is no way you did that without expecting consequences.

Why you can’t see his face on the photos?
The feeling made your whole body shake, this is too much, what if Yuta notices? What would be his reaction? Would he be mad? You want to see him mad. Wait, that isn’t nice.
He is mad, or disgusted? He usually likes all your posts, still this story doesn’t have his like. Did he forgot? Or was it already working? You’re excited, finally you’ll break up and you’ll be free from the guilt
“Should we do something more… extreme?” Your friend thought about it, you did too, what could be extreme but also not that bad? I mean, you don’t want to cheat on him, just make him jealous.
Your eyes found your reflection on a nearby window, long enough to capture your entire body. It is a good spot to make a mirror picture
“Let’s take a photo together! But like, more intimate” your friend smile, amused with that idea
Slowly, and shaking, you moved to be as close as possible. Your friend, in the other hand, wrapped his arm around your neck trying to make the photo feel more like a couple’s one. This has to be enough, right? A man is touching you and pulling you towards his body.
You post the picture, and just a second later you saw Yuta’s profile. There is no like, no comment
So maybe his jealous are silent ones? That makes sense, he doesn’t seem the type who makes a fuss about it.
Yuu💗: Hey are you done with your friend?
The text made you jump on your place, that was quick. Your friend looked over your shoulder humming in content, so the idea was working
Yuu💗: I can come to pick you up, it is so dark already :(
Okay, that feels too normal, just the usual Yuta caring about your well being, that isn’t the response you are waiting for. Did he not care at all?
“Tell him no, that must affect him” You listened to your friend’s advice typing a short no, but before you could send it a new text pop up.
Yuu💗: Sorry, that came out too weird
Yuu💗: I am picking you up
Yuu💗: I’m almost there, wait for me :)
This isn’t what you want, you need to make him back up. He can’t be here, you’re not ready to see his expression. You turned to see your friend, he had the same scared face like trying to find and answer to a question without one
“Let’s keep it up, we can’t stop now” You can tell how scared he was, he isn’t the type to go out for conflicts and he doesn’t want to argue with your boyfriend
Yuta is a nice guy, why are you doing this now? Damn you and your impulsive thoughts.
He is too nice, why do you want to break up with him? Yeah you feel guilty to have such a perfect man for yourself but that can’t be that bad, you just need to get better for him
That is a good thought, okay let’s go for that.
“I think this is enough, I don’t want to upset him more” Your friend let out a sigh, relieved to hear that.
He ruffled your hair, happy to see you coming back to your senses
“If that’s what you want, let’s stop now” His words where cut off when you felt a hand on your shoulder.
Yuta was behind you, that sweet smile like nothing happened waiting for you too turn around and face him
“I’m sorry for the delay, I hope it isn’t that late” You wrapped your arms around his neck, greeting him with the usual love.
You couldn’t see how his eyes darkened towards your friend, how his gaze turned to be a threat to the person behind you
A way to tell him to keep his distance.
“Let me call my mom before we go, okay?” You smiled at him, pressing a quick peck on his cheek.
Yuta and your friend were alone, your friend could feel his body colder than ever.
The way Yuta was behaving made everything worse, his whole personality changed to make him look more intimidating, or maybe he just stopped pretending.
“So, did you two have fun? I hope so” Even if his tone wasn’t rude, he could feel how Yuta was threating him, oh god this is bad.
“Yeah! Uhm, we were talking about going out tomorrow too” And your friend regretted saying that.
Yuta’s jaw tightened at the thought, you spending more time with this poor intend of a man? You do are doing a lot of social service
“I’m sorry to hear you won’t be able to meet up” His voice sounded too soft, guilty to say that, he isn’t. Your friend could feel how Yuta was making him know
Know damn well he isn’t approaching you any time soon.
“I’m back! Sorry, did I keep you waiting?” You hugged Yuta’s arm, he smiled at the feeling of your warm body next to him
It is almost uncanny to see how his whole demeanor changed after you appeared. A man with a lot of faces, faces you are the only one who gets to see
“I’ll see you tomorrow?” You turned to see your friend, he could feel how Yuta’s gaze pierced into his soul.
“I remembered I’m helping my mom with something, but we can reschedule” A sad sigh left your mouth but you didn’t complain.
Waving goodbye you walked beside Yuta’s to your home, his body was irradiating with happiness, like he just received a good new. Now you feel bad about trying to make him jealous, he is just a nice guy doing his best
For now on, you’ll be the perfect girlfriend for him, he deserves it.
“Do you think your mother would let me stay for the night?” He chuckled at the thought, of course that would happen, he is such a softie.
I’m sure you won’t mind to see your friend blocked when you wake up, and of course you won’t mind to see your instagram profile covered in photos of your boyfriend! You own him for the hard time you gave him.
