My Year of Drawing

So, I’m stating med school in just under 2 months! I’d really like to improve my anatomical drawing skills, so I tried drawing a anatomical heart for the first time today. I like how it turned out, but I definitely still need to work on it

Hey there! As you probably know, I’ve been drawing a drawing a day for the past 366 days, as a challenge to myself, in order to improve my drawing/sketching skills.  I have now reached my goal! I have drawn 366 drawings, some good, some bad, some I’m very proud of and some I wish I’d never even thought of drawing. All in all, I think my ability to sketch what I think and see has improved a lot, but of course it’ll take many more years of practise for me to actually be considered a good artist in any way. For now, I’m happy with the result.  Just because I’ve now reached my goal of a drawing a day for a year, I won’t stop drawing all together. I’ll most likely not draw as often as I’ve done for the past year, mainly because I had no inspiration what so ever most of the time, but I hope I’ll take my time to sit down and draw sometimes anyway. In the next couple of months, I don’t think I’ll draw that much, but when I start Med school in February, I will hopefully upload a few biology/chemistry/anatomy sketches and drawings once in a while. Thank you very much for supporting me this year (no matter if you were one of my first followers, one of my last followers or just some random person, who gave a like to the sketches I really didn’t like), I hope you’ll stay here on this blog, if not to laugh at my sometimes ridiculous attempts on drawing something simple, then stay to see my drawings, that’ll be more lust driven than the last 100 have :)
