Akutagawa wakes up in an unfamiliar room, with a chain on his leg and without a memory in his head. Before he can get his bearings, someone else barges in—a white-haired man who’s full of teary-eyed relief.

“I’m so glad I finally found you, Akutagawa.” A trembling embrace. “I promise that I’ll save you.”

My art entry for the @sskk-bigbang 2021! This time I was partnered up with the lovely writer athina (twitter) / setosdarkness (AO3)! I’m so lucky to be working with such an amazing writer, honestly I’m still in shock.

Yes, I always start with a sketch if that’s what you mean, though I prefer to draw directly without guidelines if I can (hands are sometimes an exception). From there I see my ‘mistakes’ and correct them along the way.

It’s a process of seeing where improvement can be made –> fixing the improvement –> repeat 1000x 

As for backgrounds… I like experimenting with different tools and brushes and I don’t really have a repeated process for that :p Hope that answers kinda,

My other pieces for the @sskk-bigbang! This time featuring Ghoul’s BEAST AU fic “The Hangman’s Noose”.

It’s been great working with you since August Ghoul, and I look forward to continuing working with you on this masterpiece. Yes, you heard right! This fic is getting updated even after the Big Bang event is over, meaning more artworks to be made! An excuse to make more beast au related art. 

Excerpt:

For a human, slipping one's head into a noose is to accept that death has finally won. To catch and trap an animal; however, is a whole other feat. Meanwhile, Atsushi figures he has crossed the line between man and monster a long time ago, caught somewhere in the middle. What's to say he can't break through a near unbreakable noose? If Atsushi's already walked a tight rope all throughout his life, then it's not the end yet, not until he's taken his last breath. For Atsushi, the noose in his story is a single, thorny white collar. The rope's tightening. Time to test how long he can hold on.
