Ahhh the view traveling north on Amtrak through the mountains and forests of Oregon in the autumn brilliance.

Jon Hogan and Maria Moss were a welcome surprise on the Southwest Chief. Their unexpected concert of Folk, Roots, and Carter Family music in the observation car, kept time with the gentle lilting of the train as we traversed the Rio Grande river, the fluid border between the United States and Mexico - all of which enriched our experiences, making the colors that more vivid,  and conversations richer. What a treat.

Clouds, clouds and more clouds - Indian Summer on the Pacific Coast Starlight, overlooking the Pacific Ocean, towards the Channel Islands, Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties.

Trains and graffiti they go hand in hand. Woman gazing onto the train tracks while rolling into Los Angeles Grand Central Station, while graffiti and murals brings the happiness of color to the winter Belgian landscape, and in Germany a one-tooth figure adds an element of chaos to urban order.
