I'm not a hardcore Chris and Leon shipper and mainly just see them as friends but the other interpretation is fine too, I love to see some creativity in the fandoms I'm interested in either way! but here's some gifs of some scenes that were edited, for the ones who do enjoy it so you can see and appreciate. I saw a re6 version of this once while scrolling so I just thought 'Why the hell not? Let me share this too then.'

Can someone, ANYONE please write this? π₯Ίπ«΅ Any RE writers out there that need ideas or want to write something? There's this idea that's been sitting in my mind that's been nagging me, and in case anyone wants to take a shot at it I'll relay it:
Leon x reader obviously, but reader is infected and already turned into a zombie. Leon keeps infected reader somewhere, basement or something where they won't be a risk (and because he wants to keep them).
Any leon is fine but I feel like if this was done with vendetta leon, it either has to be an au where Arias doesn't exist/ didn't do this plan, or a pre-movie event thing, or maybe a completely different virus strain where the cure that was concocted for Arias's virus doesn't work if Arias is even mentioned at all.
Zombie!reader isn't fully a feral husk but doesn't have human faculties at 100% either. Like they retain some of their self but can't talk, or if they can it's distorted. I know re9 came out with Elpis and the virus variant that the infected have; etc, but this wasn't intended to be that, I was concocting this idea even before that game was a thing. What I have in mind is re6 or re2 zombies but reader miraculously didn't completely lose themselves in the process.
I can see the angst potential.
It can be a hurt/no comfort fic or angst leading to a happy ending. Either works for me.
Of course, for the ones who read too you can link in the comments if there's already a fic like that out there somewhere that I haven't came across yet or know about.
I would write the whole thing myself from beginning to conclusion but I don't really know how to write a structured plot effectively and smoothly π

Leon watched you devour the meat he brought you, your motions urgent as if you were feeling ravenous. He sighed, he knew that the virus created instincts in you that you couldn't control. It wasn't your fault.
Predictably, That didn't ease the burden he felt.
He felt like a failure, what good was he if he couldn't even protect you right? He fought so hard to shelter the world and innocents from it, but he could see now it wasn't enough to keep you safe.
His attention went to the desk with his utilities on it to gear up. Even if you did see him as food (the thought of that pained him). It wasn't like you could lunge at him while he wasn't paying attention, he had you properly restrained just in case, and only had just loosened them now just a smidge so you could feed.
The sound of flesh being torn into filled the room and became background noise.
He ruminated on you,
Everytime he came over to visit where he put you he could swear he could see a glint of your old self in your eyes, like maybe you recognized him beyond the viral haze-
Or maybe there wasn't anything there at all and he was just going insane. All the stress finally catching up to him and warping his perception as he's consumed by grief and just projecting what he wants to see onto the infected near him- that had the body of his lover but none of the soul behind it. But, if anything.. he couldn't give up, that would feel like a betrayal of everything that happened in both of yours relationship, he couldn't bring himself to kill you either, he would feel awful if he found out there was a chance after all but he took it away without checking first.
This was his chance. He HAD to try, had to find that cure for you. He would make it his personal damn mission if necessary. Then maybe things could go back to how it should be.
This idea definitely wasn't inspired by a CharacterAI rp..
I've got my hands on the Mortal Kombat Beta and all's I have to say is that I can't wait for the full game release. It's going to be even better with the full game roster.
