guys the "horny people have no rights" thing was meant to be a joke btw... an unfunny one, but a joke nonetheless.

we've legitimately got people out here who believe thought crimes are real and who genuinely think that your taste in fictional media determines your moral standing. this corny ass panopticon is dividing fandom communities, destroying people's mental health, ruining relationships, ending friendships, etc. people are shunning others for random meaningless shit. the younger gens are so blood thirsty and punitive, it's wild. so much for combating the prison industrial complex 😬 and a lot of you also come off like you're itching to line up for a book burning in the near future too.

it's as if a lot of people saw the shift towards online spaces being gutted and scrubbed raw in order to be considered "ad friendly" and decided to shape their own personal sense or morality to match, playing directly into the hand of the giant conglomerates who started the ruination to begin with.

ive seen 14-15 year olds on here having to write apology posts for sharing allegedly off-color memes, joke posts or art that someone didn't like, because they were being shunned by their friends. like???? jesus christ guys.

as someone with ocd, it's starting to feel like everyone is experiencing a deep bout of moral obsession and making their compulsions everyone's problem by influencing public/social policy. (and no this isn't me giving anyone a pass to use ocd as an excuse for this kind of behavior either.)
