Featuring the whole cast of Ed Edd n Eddy! (Except for the characters I refuse to put in my AU, like the Kankers or Nazz.) Why do I not like those characters? I’ll specify that another day, I guess…

Taking place in a galaxy far far away, Double Dee and Eddy are a duo who explore different planets and work to learn a lot about this wide world. However, they aren’t absent of problems, either. Eddy is a bit of the aggressive and overly protective type, pushing away anyone who hurts or threatens his “friend,” who he secretly is in love with. He doesn’t like admitting it at all, though. Double Dee is the outgoing, motherly half of the duo, his curiosity often getting in the way of his own self. He is selfless and loves any kind of nature or life he encounters. However, their lives completely get turned upside down, once they find an alien on the run from experimenting scientists…

That alien in question is Ed, a young but extremely tall and special alien who has special abilities; abilities that the scientists want from him, and will get through any means… Double Dee decides to help the alien, much to Eddy’s jealousy and envy.

One thing I want to explore in this AU is the Eds relationships with each other, and how they all matter in this story. (Seriously, justice for Ed.) Ed had been scared and scarred from having nothing but cruel experiments being attempted on him, and is at first hesitant to accept Double Dee’s love and concern. Eventually, he does accept himself as being equal like them, and gets adjusted. (Fun fact: I gave Ed a helmet because, despite him being able to breathe in any planet without one, he wants to be just like his crew. He is just so grateful for being saved.) Eddy and Double Dee, meanwhile, are at odds with each other in terms of their mindsets, with Eddy scared of Ed’s introduction into their lives. Double Dee is loving and unconditionally cares for him, wanting Ed to have a home and someone to love. But, why is Eddy so scared of Ed? Well, to cap the mystery off for now, Eddy’s love for Double Dee really clouds his view on Ed’s own wellbeing, which will be a problem for later.
