After decades of research, the best answer I can give is that sexual attraction is like garlic bread. Some people are immediately drawn to the plain garlic bread, it's crispy and buttery and garlicy, as soon as they see it they want to eat it. Some people want the cheesy garlic bread, like the above but with melty cheesy deliciousness. Some people want the cheesy garlic bread with bacon. Some people want all the garlic breads, or different garlic breads in different situations. I have no idea how or why each individual desires a specific garlic bread or why they can't understand that I'm diabetic and ate 30 minutes ago and can't eat anything now and even if I could garlic bread is very high in carbs and fat and that's not what I need.
