Just asked someone with experience in pr.. they said it's highly unlikely that an otome game will take all the heat on themselves for such an unprecedented decision like cancelling a LI if it was forced by the authorities... As in they could have simply said due to legal and political issues blah blah... So it's most likely an internal decision by the company. Hence, much more likely to be reversed..
Also the rumors going around about the IPO would make sense too. That they are biding for time and once everything's okay they will just register in a different country.. and be free of all this.. dramatic controversial mainland.
However, they also said it might actually be just their way of keeping everyone from leaving, by giving them false hope.. so all we gotta do is not let the protest die down, no spending, a few underperforming banners and they *would* be forced to revise their decision.
