Echo is an average young man with pale skin and pinkish-red eyes hidden by bandages to protect them from the sun. He has long, dyed black hair that is actually white and is tied back in a low ponytail, although sometimes left loose. He wears a simple but elegant white Victorian shirt with black trousers tied with a corset belt, and he also has black and white shoes and black gloves.
Personality (It's very long, sorry) :
Echo is a relatively kind and open-minded person who does his best to try to understand others even if it sometimes exhausts him to be around a lot of people. He believes in a lot of supernatural things that people generally do not believe and is fascinated by them. However, Echo is not very good at socializing, having never had any friends before because he was a recluse in his house all his childhood. His open mind means that he does not really care about vampires, he does not consider them as enemies and would be willing to cohabit with them, having a slight hope of being accepted by them if the inhabitants of Oakhurts reject him. Despite this, Echo has very little self-esteem and is afraid to trust people, he considers his illness and his very existence as a curse because he thinks that everyone would reject him if they discovered his true appearance.
Since his birth, Echo has never really had an easy life. Born with a disease giving him an appearance and characteristics similar to a vampire such as white hair, red (although slightly pink) and pale skin fragile in the sun, he was always considered a cursed child who would only bring suffering to those around him. Thus he was locked up almost all his life in his house, judged by the inhabitants of his hometown and hated by his father, he only had his mother left to help him and feel loved even if this led to a lot of arguments between the two parents. But one day the cruel man got fed up with his wife's actions against him and accused her of being a witch so that she would end up burned in the public square while all young Echo could do was watch… For a few days after this event, Echo remained locked in her room, her heart empty and cold… this house only resembled a prison without her mother to keep her company… But one day while he was searching through her belongings he found 3 objects that were apparently intended for him in a box, a vial with a strange liquid without a label, a letter… and a dagger… Although he did not know what the vial was for, he quickly understood what the weapon was for, so that same evening he found his father and planted the dagger in his neck before burning the house and running away from the city to then travel for 5 years with the color of his hair and eyes hidden. It was only during his vagrancy that he discovered Oakhurst.
Avid: Echo was the first to believe from the beginning but was much more relaxed about vampires. He is afraid, however, that the latter will discover his appearance and try to kill him, this fear was increased when Avid created the vampire clinic. When Avid burned down Sheldy's house, he was disappointed in Avid and his behavior and told her that this was not how he would convince her to come back and that in any case it was up to her to choose. When Avid voluntarily became a vampire, he did not know what to think or say.
Legundo: He questioned Legundo's medical knowledge a lot when he mentioned operating on a twisted ankle and started to get uncomfortable with him when Legundo offered to fix his eyes, thinking Echo was blind. However, over time, Echo grew to like Legundo, finding his desire to save lives admirable, but he knows that even if he told Legundo the true circumstances of his illness, Echo doesn't truly believe he'll ever be cured.
Ren: Echo found Ren's mysterious behavior in the first episode intriguing and greatly appreciated his politeness and kindness. He also found his accent amusing. When he learned where the accent came from, he felt guilty so he made tea to soothe his throat, even if it was for a short time. He also understood Ren's desire to build a house away from the hustle and bustle of the city, as Echo himself had spent 5 years traveling alone.
Shelby: Echo enjoys Shelby's company and finds her passion for the supernatural enjoyable and amusing, not averse to giving her some information about supernatural creatures. In episode 2, he witnessed Sheldy's pursuit and transformation into a vampire and was therefore aware of the identities of the other vampires but did not say anything to the other inhabitants because he still considers Shelby a friend or even a sister. So when Avid burned down Shelby's house, Echo did her best to fix it to apologize even though it was not really his fault. Echo does not want to force her to come back because for him it is her choice and accepts her desire to stay with the vampires if she is happy with them.
Scott: He found Scott to be a rather pleasant person to be around, considering his rather calm character as soothing. Echo knew that Scott was a vampire in episode 2 but also didn't say anything like he did with the other vampires. However, he has a little trouble trusting Scott completely because Echo is aware of Scott's power but doesn't want to kill him. He also finds Scott very assertive and even has a certain charm.
Owen: Owen is the first person Echo has ever befriended and likes him a lot. He knew he was a vampire in episode 2 but didn't reveal anything, wanting to protect his friends and other vampires. He even confessed to Owen his reason for traveling and the fact that he only has 10 years or more to live before the vampires' identities are discovered by others. In episode 4, Echo didn't try to stop the vampires from doing anything and instead acted peacefully, even complimenting their final forms. In episode 5, Echo noticed that Owen wasn't doing well and tried to talk to him later if they had the chance to be alone together. When this happened, Echo did her best to get Owen to talk about his point of view and his feelings, but Owen didn't understand why Echo was going to such lengths to understand him. Echo then told him a little more about his past, from his fear of rejection to how his mother burned to death until the moment he killed his father. He told Owen that he didn't see him as a monster but as someone who suffered and wanted to be accepted by someone, Echo ended up saying that he still considers Owen a friend and that he will be there if Owen wants some quiet company but that he understands if the latter hates him like he hates others.

Echo's cane helps her walk but also helps her defend herself (it's a bladed cane).
The others know that Echo is sick, but only Owen knows that Echo only has 10 years left to live.
Echo is particularly thin, but for him, that's normal.
The dye in his hair began to fade at the end of episode 3 and turned completely white at the end of episode 5. He somehow managed to hide it behind a cloak.
He still has the vial and the letter his mother left him, but he never used them, considering it wasn't the right time yet.
