And there isn’t the same contempt afterwards I’ve seen with kids whose parents hit them. One time the kid swung a stick at my dog, his mother immediately made him sit on the stairs, he screamed but stayed put, then he came over to my dog and gently said “Sorry Ellie” and went back to playing like nothing happened, but this time without swinging sticks at the nearby animals.

So she put me on a stool and sat me under the kitchen table. The stool put me at such a height that I couldn't quite sit up straight and I was uncomfortably craned enough to make me actually consider it a punishment and not just a fun time to sit by myself.

one of the things i'm going to write about probably post-RiL is how mtmte s1 handles its foreshadowing for Magnus, as well as the deliberate misdirects. this is one of the less interesting but funnier ones, in that i simply do not believe all the magnus armour wearers could possibly have been Like That TM enough to casually refer to themselves in the third person habitually. therefore to everyone else it looks like 'ultra magnus' just. started doing that one day. d'you think that's when people started to worry the war was getting to him a bit
