The reason: I love this poster is because of it’s history and the fact that Visual Commutation has, and always will have, a large impact on the general public. Even if this poster wasn’t seen by all.  “Keep Calm and Carry On was a poster produced by the British government in 1939 during the beginning of World War II, intended to raise the morale of the British public in the event of invasion. Seeing only limited distribution, it was little known. The MOI (Ministry of Information) were appointed by the British Government to design a bunch of moral boosting posters that would be displayed throughout Britain. It was the last poster produced out of three and it had a very simple and direct message “Keep Calm and Carry On”. The plan in place for this poster was to issue it only upon the invasion of Britain by Germany. As this never happened, the poster was only displayed on few office walls and never officially seen by the public.” I think that’s what I love about it so much. That the positivity from this poster is very direct. I relate it to everything I do; job interview, projects, relationships, friendships, life. Just keep calm, and carry on. Just relax, get on with it, and it will all fall into place. I stress far too often, you see.
