But Merida left after saying that she will find a solution, that you wouldn't have to worry about a thing, being that the same reason why when she showed up in the middle of the night with an awkward smile asking for help you immediately had a bad feeling

And you really didn't know what was more bizarre and awkward, that the bear Merida said it was her mother actually bowed and was being “polite” or that Merida was trying to find a way to explain who exactly are you, this may not be the best time to tell her that she can't choose between the princes awaiting in the castle since she already is with you

And that was the same reason you simply brushed it off for now, there were more important matters to attend, this wasn't the first time you two got in trouble for being reckless and definitely won't be the last, so of course you would help, sneaking away to help them try to find a solution or even just cover her up with her little brothers and father, it won't be much of a problem and of course you will do it for her, and you are of a lot of help! She would have kissed you right there and then if it wasn't because her mother was still watching

You two haven't met yet, or rather, not formally, he has never actually introduced himself but he knows you too well. He has noticed you before, his eyes are constantly following you, and not only his eyes, he feels so attracted to you that sometimes he even follow you personally, hiding himself because he simply doesn't has the confidence to walk to you and start a conversation but at the same time he feels like he can't stop himself from watching you, from wanting to know you, *from loving you*

He may be more present in his darling's life than how he realises, but not in a good way

Barley has grown up surrounded by love, not only he loves and is loved by his family but his parents always had a loving relationship, even after losing his father Laurel made sure her beloved sons never forgot their father, to remember them with love, she continued with her life and found love again eventually, Barley has always been surrounded by love, pure and gentle love

Still, that it is just one of the reasons why he goes over board when he finally found someone to love and that loved him back, he hasn't grown to be such a yearner because someone taught him, he is extrovert and affectionate, it is in him to be so expressive and open with his love, the fact that he has grown up surrounded by love only makes him think that loving so openly and sincerely it is how it should be, that it is right to be so loving

Barley may look overly cheesy whenever he offers his arm for you to take before start walking, why his eyes are glued to you whenever you talk, by how he always holds the doors open for you, holding your hand to help you get in and out of his van, sometimes even leaving a kiss in your knuckles before letting go of your hand, but heavens, if it means that he will make you smile, perhaps even laugh a bit then he will do it over and over again, without even a second of hesitation or embarrassment, because your smile makes his cheeks burn and makes his heart flutter, because just being able to make you smile makes his life brighter

Joaquín is admired and loved by everyone, he has become the hero he always wanted to be and that shows off in not only how much he likes to brag but also in all the attention he received, it is simple as it is

Or, rather, it isn't, he may look like a narcissist due how much he likes to show off but deep down he hasn't changed much from how he was as a kid, he shows off because he knows he is strong while doing everything he does because of a genuine wish to help and protect. He shows off and brags like a prideful kid would do because in reality he is not only proud but also excited to have something to show off, he gets giddy and even giggle when talking to Manolo about everything, he is like an excited kid playing to be a hero

And it is because of that that whenever Joaquín is with you his first course of action is to try to show off, right after managing to get over the nervousness your only presence makes him feel he starts stuttering about his latest achievements and fights while also trying to ask about you and your opinion, in his child-like innocence he believes the best way to have a chance with you it is by impress you, and, for now, you will play along all to get to know him better personally, after all the things Manolo has told you about him, about the way he gets giddy and playful when he is not overly nervous and trying to show off out of nervousness has definitely left a good impression on you, enough to give him a chance and hope that soon you will see that side of him too

With how energetic and extrovert Barley is there is no doubt that you two never get bored, he always has something to say, something silly to make you laugh or finding a way to relate whatever you were talking about/what was happening with something in his favorite game or even with mages

Of course, Barley never does it with bad intention and if he ends up talking so much at your side it is because you are willing to listen, he has always been someone talkative but the fact that you don't make faces or try to cut the conversation always encourages him to continue talking, even if he doesn't realize it he feels more and more attracted by you, becoming used to always think on you whenever he learns something new or has something to share and not only because you are his beloved partner

Bit by bit Barley starts to become more aware of the fact that you actually listen, you not just let him rant, you pay attention, you ask for him to clarify something you didn't fully understood and ask him to tell you more when something caught your attention, you even bring up a fact he told you once randomly in your conversation or with others like he normally does

Maleficent isn't exactly a good person and she has never tried to pretend to be one, quite the contrary, she is who she is, she doesn't try to hide her occasional selfishness nor has problem to speak her mind off, that is why seeing her with you, her gentleman-like and incredibly polite partner it is weird to say the least

There is a clear a big difference between your personalities, from the way you two carry yourself and the way you speak to others, being that Maleficent not only tent to be more direct to others but also to you, not having troubles for calling you out for not saying what it is in your mind or choosing to express your discomfort in rather polite ways

Maleficent insists that not only she doesn't understand but also doesn't see the point of walking on eggshells when talking to others, what is the point of protecting anyone from your feelings?

But, at the end of the day, it is because of the love she holds for you that she simply decides to respect your choice, she may question you at times and not fully understand your way to do things, but she won't try to stop you

Even so, that doesn't erase the fact that seeing her with someone so gentlemanly it can be quite a bizarre sight, nor the fact that she love her “prince charming”

Mirabel doesn't deal with her crush too well, from one side she is your friend, she can be friendly and just hang around with you like if her heart didn't yearn for more, in the other hand she gets nervous whenever she tries to make any romantic attempt, awfully so

Mirabel has a lot of insecurities, deep down being the only Madrigal without a power makes her feel so small and that makes her feel awkward and sometimes even a bit pushy when she tries new things, so when she decided to act on her crush she spent several days trying to convince herself that “this is a good idea” and that “she can do this”. As well, she has tripped over her own words and rambled whenever she tried to say anything close to flirting all because having your full attention in her it is surprisingly intimidating, already feeling like she is making a fool of herself just by trying to say something so embarrassing and out of character

But as the days pass and she goes back and forth thinking this is stupid but also that she can do it, that she has to fight for her love Mirabel manages to convince herself to try again and again

The moment Mirabel finally manages to say something ‘flirty’ she is rather proud of herself, either that you end up flustered or just laugh because it is kind of charming, that will be enough to fill Mirabel with confidence and will continue attempting to woo you. Although, if you answer by flirting too all her confidence will crack in a second, replaced by the flustered feeling
