hands are really strong imagery for a lot of reasons. hands of a parent offer protection, hands of a lover offer comfort, and hands of friends offer strength. in sailor moon, we see hands a lot. we see them in many contexts and for many different reasons. the message every moment offers is different and beautiful in its own way. i think this is one of my favorite repeated imagery throughout the entire series. 

I think like any marriage, specially when you’ve had divorced parents like myself, you’d want to try even harder to make it work and you don’t want to fall back into a pattern that you’ve seen happen in your own family.
