they have to ask alex about past and present teammates because what else are they going to ask him about? he hasn’t exactly had a very interesting career.
Guys you have to come up with better thought out anti Alex asks. Im begging. I like clowning on Alex but let’s be real, while his career hasnt been terribly successful, it’s taken an interesting path
1) joining f1 with no tests
2) promoted to senior team immediately
3) losing seat entirely during covid
4) driver coaching Yuki for a year away from the grid, concurrently in a different series
5) signing back after a year off with a dog shit team -is on loan
5.5) almost fucking dies mid season
6) the dogshit team is slowly getting better
7) the team reaches a climax and is now flailing
There are so many interesting questions you can ask about his weird career trajectory and the many different roles hes been in. It is interesting
Sure, you cant ask him “what’s it like to win a race” but that’s boring (answer: feels good, boss). Admittedly, would be interesting to ask about a wdc battle which he cant account for but suggesting that his career path is uninteresting and there’s nothing to interesting to talk to him about his career indicates to me that you’d be the most dogshit sports reporter which says a lot given the state of f1 reporting
Can yall pls think through your hate asks before sending them? There are many valid anti Alex takes. Send me those instead please
Somewhat related (really just a pet peeve of mine) but for the love of god podcasters stop asking him if he’s jealous of his friends in 500 different ways. There is a way bigger story there than the “envious Williams driver” and if it’s not asking if he’s jealous it’s asking how he felt after getting dropped by redbull as if those are the only two relevant things to his career.
