Church Issues.
Since it's been a couple years, I wanted to post answers to a lot of questions I've gotten without making their stories public.Â
One of my questions is from a girl who just got baptized and feels alone in the church she's at. I completely understand. It almost seems like (in most churches) if you aren't married and having kids or weren't born into the church with your family, you just don't fit in. This is so sad. I feel the exact same thing and I am married now, but without kids, it sometimes feels impossible to fit in or get connected with other members at the church. You see a great divide in ages. There's the preschool-elementary-middle and high school and some college when they return home and then the older adults married with kids. The twenty-somethings, almost don't fit in. Plus, being twenty-something were dealing with issues the church isn't focusing on preaching about. Such as: difficulties being newly out of the nest, trying to balance life, and feelings of depression and anxiety, basically issues different from kids and gaining understanding from others instead of feeling like no one in the church understands. Anyways, I could go on and on about this, hopefully we each can make a difference in he churches we go to by bringing this up to help get connected.Â
