“Are you ready to tell everyone about our little wonder?” Chester and Grace were waiting outside in the sun for their family and friends to arrive.
It was mostly just Chester’s family and Hannah and Mamrie of course. Grace fidgets with her fingers nervously.
“Our families will be so happy and proud of us so why am I so nervous to tell them?”
Chester takes Grace’s face in his hands and looks her in her eyes. “Because you always told them you didn’t want kids, because we’re not married yet and that’s a big deal for your family or because this was not planned at all and you still have a cribbing feeling this can go wrong.”
Tears start to form in Grace’s eyes. A single one rolls down her cheek. She wipes it away.
“I don’t want to cry about it. I want to be strong for our little boy or girl.” Grace takes a deep breath and closes her eyes. A smile forms around her mouth.
The doorbell rings making Chester and Grace look up. Chester kisses Grace’s forehead before he stands up to open the door.
Chester walks down the hallway to the door. He picks up his welcome drink before he opens the door.
“Happy birthday Chessy”
“Thanks Mamrie.” He offers Mamrie and Hannah a drink before they walk into the house.
“Hi girls come to the backyard.” Grace had joined them in the hallway.
Grace hugs Mamrie and Hannah closer and takes them to the backyard. Grace is holding her own welcomes drink a non-alcoholic one of course.
“Are you guys going to tell everyone today? Because you’re starting to show Gracie.”
Chester and Grace nod. Grace places a hand on her little bump.
“It’s our plan to tell them but my parents won’t be there today and it would be fun to tell them at the same time.”
“Your mom said she would video call you today. We could do it when she calls.”
“We’ll probably have to stall my parents by then but that’s fine.” Chester places his hand on top of Grace’s hand. “Do you really think they wouldn’t see it before we tell them?”
“Yes I do. Your parents never look at me that well. But I’ll hold in my belly just to be sure.” Grace giggles into her hands.
“Well we’ll have to see it later today when they’re here.”
Half an hour later and everbody is there. Chester’s mom and dad didn’t say anything about the changes in Grace yet but Grace is still nervous about it. Her parents wouldn’t video call for more than 2 hours.
Chester bends down to Grace‘s level and whispers in her ear. “Quit stressing. You’re making it worse for yourself.”
“Enjoy your guests. I’ll keep the drinks and food going to now.” Chester kisses Grace’s cheek before he sits down again.
Grace leaves for the kitchen and starts finishing the first snacks of the day.
Hannah joined her a couple minutes later. “Are you okay Gracie?”
Grace nods. “Yeah just nervous. But excited too.” Grace places the last things on the plates and hands one to Hannah. “Let’s go and feed some people.”
Hannah and Grace leave the kitchen together with the plates with snacks in their hands. They do their rounds before they sit down.
Chester takes Grace’s hand and rubs it slowly. She squeezes his hand softly. They sit like this for a while. Talking, laughing and listing with the small group before them.
When Grace stands up again Chester’s mom joins her. They walk inside together and into the kitchen.
“How are you doing Grace? You seem nervous about something.” Grace shakes her head and smiles.
“I’m just very excited to spreak to my parents later today.” Grace sighs. This is easier than she thought it would be so she continues. “I haven’t talked to them since Christmas.”
“That is exciting indeed. I thought that something was wrong. You’re extra close to Chester and I saw you guys whisper a couple times.”
“It is his birthday today.” Grace winks.
“Right. I didn’t want to know that but have fun together. And be careful please.”
Grace turns to the fridge and get the bottle of water out. She fills up her glass and goes back outside.
Grace had been talking with her mom and dad inside the house for a while when she decided it was time. So she picked up her laptop and went outside.
Chester got the hit and stood off his chair too. Now they stood next to each other looking at each of their guests.
“What’s happening?”
“Quiet mon. You’ll know very soon.” Chester turns to look at Grace. “The honor is all yours.”
Grace looked between her parents and Chester’s. “Well we… we’re going to parents. I’m pregnant.”
A lot of screams and wows come their way. And everybody seemed to be happy for them. Chester and Grace were still holding hands.
Grace’s mom was the first one the speak actual words. “Oh god Gracie. That’s amazing. I wish I was there to hug you.”
Chester’s mom stepped closer and hugged the couple closer. “How far along are you?”
“17,5 week today.” Grace places her hand on her stomach. “We can’t wait to meet him or her even though this wasn’t planned.”
“We’re very excited about this happening indeed.”
The party continued and Grace started to relax more the longer she talked with the people around her. She never knew she would be so happy about being a mom ever in her life.
“Are you going to find out the sex of your lovely surprise?” Mamrie asks the happy couple in front of her.
“We don’t know yet. I want to know so we can decorate the nursery but a surprise would be nice too.” Grace giggles.
“Conclusion we still don’t know. And we have a couple more weeks to figure it out. Before we can find it out.” Chester adds.
Hannah and Mamrie Sit down next to Grace making Chester stand up and sit somewhere else.
“If you do find out, you can have 2 parties. A gender reveal and a baby shower.”
“Girls I don’t need two parties. One is enough for me.” Grace hugs her two best friends a little closer.
“Don’t be a party pooper Gracie. You’re going to get two parties.” Hannah winks. She knows very well that Grace wants two parties but she’s hiding it for her family and Chester.
Chester put down the last things in the kitchen before he goes looking for Grace, who had gone inside a little while ago and had not shown her face ever since.
He finds her on the couch, softly snoring. She’s snuggling a pillow and holding her stomach. Chester bends down and kisses her cheek.
Grace stirs but doesn’t wake up. So Chester leaves her on the couch and goes back to the kitchen to clean up the last of the party stuff. He unloads and reloads the dishwasher with cups and bowls. He puts all the clean this in the cabinets.
Apparently I never posted this so here are part 10 and later part 11 from this serie I’s still trying to finish..
“Ches my bump is finally showing a little bit and all the tests are alright. Do you think it’s time to tell our parents and some of our friends?”
Chester moves a little closer to Grace on the bed. He pulls the blankets down a little and moves Grace’s top up. He places his cheek on her stomach.
“I love you little buddy. Keep growing you little monster.” Chester looks up at Grace. “I think that it’s time too.”
“When should we do it? Maybe with your birthday that’s coming up?”
Chester nods.
“Yeah that’s the perfect time and we might even know the gender by then.”
“Probably not but we’ll see.”
Chester lays back down on the bed so Grace can place her head on his shoulder. She follows only seconds later. Grace places her head on his shoulder and rubs her stomach.
“I can’t believe I’m already 17 weeks pregnant. We’ll have a little one with us everywhere we go in just over 5 months. I’m almost halfway there.”
“I can’t believe it either. And just to think just 6 months ago we decide to wait until we were married. And then this happened, our happy accident.”
Grace snuggles a little closer into Chester. He kisses her head and she mumbles softly. “I love you.”
“I love you too Gracie.”
But Grace doesn’t hear it. She has already fallen asleep. Her head still on Chester’s shoulder and her hand on her stomach. Chester moves her to her pillow before he cuddles up into her. He closes his eyes too and thinks about the coming years with his little family.
A little boy is wiggling on the grass. He falls over forward on his belly. The boy looks around for a second before he pushes himself up again. Making his way over to a little girl sitting in the grass a little further.
She’s laughing and calling his name. He starts to giggle too.
The girl opens her arms when the little boy gets closer. He falls in her arms and she kisses him on his cheek. They are both giggling hard when a blond woman joins them in the grass. Chester can’t see her face but she looks a lot like Grace. As do the little boy and girl.
The girl yells ‘Mommy’ enthusiastically while the boy lets himself fall on top of her. The woman hugs the children close before she stands up. She picks up her little boy, who she calls Riley, and takes the hand of her girl, who she calls Alice, and they walk off. Away from Chester’s view.
Chester decided to follow them to see where they are going. To see if this could be his family. They’re dancing and singing in the grass. The woman places the little boy in the grass and they walked a little further.
Chester started to catch up with them but they didn’t seem to notice he was there. They still didn’t notice him when he was walking next to them. It is Grace and he thinks their daughter and son. He picks up the talk between mom and daughter.
“I wish that daddy was here mommy.”
“I miss him too Honey. I wish that he could see you grow up into a lovely little lady.”
“How long has he been gone now?”
Grace wipes away a tear before she answers. “He has been gone for almost 6 months now. Just after we found out I was pregnant again.”
“Is our little sister with him?”
“Yes Honey. I’m sure he’s taking good care of Quinn in heaven.”
Chester stops walking next to Grace. He died and left his family to fight for themselves. He left Grace alone to figure everything out all alone and take care of the kids too.
Grace started to cry again. Making Chester freak out, he wanted to be there for her and their two beautiful kids. His eyes fill with tears and he starts to shake. The crying is wrecking his body and he lets himself fall on the ground.
Grace stakes Chester’s shoulder softly to wake him up. He keeps say ‘no, no, Grace I want to help you.’ and ‘I’m so sorry Grace.’
Chester jumps up and runs to his little family. “I’m so sorry Grace. So so sorry.”
He tries to hug her but he goes right through Grace and he falls on the ground.
Chester is running in his bed and Grace still tries to wake him up.
“Chester wake up, you’re scaring me.” Grace shakes his shoulder a little harder. “Chester please wake up.”
Chester jumps up, catching his breath. He almost falls of the bed but rolls back the right way to look at Grace. She hugs him close.
“What just happened Chester?”
“I had a nightmare about our family. You were there and we had 2 children, a girl and a boy. But I did in a car crash that also killed our third baby.” Tears started streaming down Chester’s cheeks. He pulled Grace a little closer. “ And I could only watch how you interacted with our babies. How you cried about my lost. It made me feel so sad.”
Grace stopped Chester and just hugged him close. She rubbed his back to let him calm down a little bit.
Chester breath slowed down and the tears stopped flowing. He pushed away from Grace to look at her.
“It was just a nightmare Sweetie. You’re still here for me and our unborn child.” Grace took Chester’s hand and placed it on her stomach. “I can feel him or her move every day. Everything is fine now.”
“I know but I just got so scared because it felt so real.”
“Let’s just go downstairs and eat some breakfast. I’m starving.”
Chester nods, takes Grace’s hand and guides her out of the bed before him.
“You really choose something to show of the bump. Even though it’s still very small.”
Grace walked the last steps down the stairs in a formfitting top and jeans. She joined Chester in the kitchen. “Are you done meanie?”
Chester smiles and nods. “You look beautiful Gracie.”
“Thank you Chester. Can I help you with anything?”
“Well you can set the table outside so we can sit there when everybody comes. The weather should be really nice all day long.” Grace set out to go to the garden. She had bought paper plates and cups for today and hit them in the shed.
“Grace where are you going? The plates and drinking glasses are here.”
Grace pretends she doesn’t hear him and walks into the shed. Chester stands in the door opening to see what she takes out with her. She comes out with more chairs and a plastic bag behind her bag. Grace places the chairs on the ground.
“Go back to work you and stop looking at me.”
Chester turn back around and goes back inside. Acting like nothing happened. The chopping in the kitchen continues and Grace turns to the table. She picks up the plates and cups and starts placing them around the table. She places the chair in a wide circle around the table before Grace goes back inside.
It all started when Hannah came with the idea of throwing a holiday party. She invited everybody to her house to celebrate a mix of Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years. Everybody is going to be somewhere else with each of the holidays and it should be a holiday for friends too.
The doorbell rings as the first guests arrive at Hannah’s house. Grace walks to the door because Hannah is busy with the last things for the food. She opens the door and is greeted by Mamrie with Beanz in her hands, Tyler and Korey.
“Smellbig!”
“Mametown! And Tyler and Korey. Come in it’s cold outside.”
Grace opened the door further to let the guests in. Mamrie, Tyler and Korey walk past Grace into the house.
Grace closes the door behind them and walks after everybody into the living room. Hannah has joined them in the living room.
“Now we have to wait on my last guests and we can start.”
Hannah turns the music on and goes back to the kitchen to finish of everything.
“Hannah do you need help?”
“Yeah. You can ask our guest if they would like something to drink?”
Grace turned to the little group on the couch.
“Drinks anyone?”
“Just give me some wine and I’ll be fine.”
Everybody starts laughing.
“Well the wine will be on the table later. But I’ll give you some now because you asked so nicely Tyler.”
“A beer for me please.”
“Same for me.”
“Two beers and a wine coming right up.”
Grace leaves for the kitchen and comes back a couple minutes later with two cans and a glass. She tosses the beers at Korey and Mamrie before she pours some wine for Tyler. She hands the glass to Tyler when she is done.
Grace picks her own beer up again and walks to the kitchen.
“Anything else Harto?”
“Not now. You can sit down for now I’ll call you when I need your help with anything.”
Grace leaves the kitchen again and joins the party. Just as Grace sits down the doorbell rings again.
Grace opens the door for Colleen and Joselyn.
“Come in guys. Dinner is almost ready.”
Colleen and Joselyn walk into the house to join the other guests in the living room. Grace wait by the door.
Chester is starts running when he sees that Grace is waiting by the door.
“Hi and welcome to Hannah’s house.”
“I’ve been here before Grace.”
“I know. Everybody has but I’m just trying welcoming sentences.” Grace sighs. “This one did not work.”
Grace closes the door behind them and walks to the living behind Chester.
“We’re complete.” Grace yells into the room. “Let’s see how far Hannah is with the food.”
Grace walks into the kitchen.
“It’s ready. Everybody can sit down at the table now.” Hannah said to Grace who turned around to go back to the living room.
“Dinner is about ready so everybody can sit down at the table. Hannah didn’t make any nameplates so please don’t fight about who can sit next to me.”
Grace sneaks away from the table for some time alone. She walks through the hall to Hannah’s room to lay down for a little bit. feeling a little tipsy already after only two beers. Grace closes the door behind her.
Grace walks to the bed and lets herself fall on the bed and closes her eyes. She is gone with in a second.
Grace starts snoring softly as she takes a little nap in Hannah’s bed.
“I check on Grace guys. She has been gone for a while now.”
Mamrie stands up to look for Grace.
“I think she went to my bedroom because she wasn’t feel so good.”
“Okay. I can find that.”
Mamrie walks down the hall to the door of Hannah’s bedroom. She opens the door slowly when she arrives at the door. Mamrie walks into the room and sees Grace on the bed.
Mamrie sits down next to the bed and just looks at Grace who is sleeping peacefully. Mamrie takes Grace’s hand and starts rubbing it slowly. Grace opens her eyes suddenly and looks at Mamrie with big eyes. She pulls her hand away.
“What are you doing?”
Mamrie looks at her hands.
“I don’t know. It just happened.” Mamrie whips a tear away. “I’m so sorry Grace. I’ll leave you alone.”
Mamrie stands up to leave the room but Grace takes Mamrie’s hand. She pulls Mamrie unto the bed. Grace keeps holding onto Mamrie’s hand and starts rubbing it like Mamrie did before.
“Is there something you want to tell me Mamrie?”
Grace looks Mamrie straight in the eyes.
“Yes but I’m afraid to say it aloud.”
“That’s okay. You do not have to say it even though we need to talk about this.” Mamrie nods to let Grace know that she agrees. “Let’s talk about it after we finish this dinner. This is not the place or the time to do it.”
“I agree. We can do this later.”
Grace moves closer to Mamrie and hugs her close. They sit like that for a little while. Mamrie turns her head and kisses Grace on the cheek.

Okay guys and girls! I know I seem desperate now but I just want to hit 1k. I’ve been around 950 for about 6 months now and it’s making me do this again and again.
I once had this idea to do a give away when I hit 1k and I still want to do this. But this idea has not helped me yet. And I kinda wish it had.
So I’m trying it again. 😊 At this moment I’m at 951, so I need 49 more followers to hit 1k. I’m going to collect things to send away when I do hit 1k.
Sorry it took me so long. I have a crazy schedule at the moment and writing was not the first thing I thought about. I’m trying to write a little more in the next couple weeks but I won’t promise anything.
It took me a while again but I have another part for you. I feel a little weird posting this because of everything that is happening in the fandom but I still like the story.
I wrote this for a different thing too. Halloween themed too but it’s a fun one too.
I’m walking alone through a deep dark town. Sounds everywhere and I’m not very happy at the moment. My relationship is just over, my friends seem to ignore me and I got in a fight with my mother.
I look around before I walk into a badly lit ally. I start to run when I keep hearing sounds behind me. I keep looking back to see if somebody is following me. I’m not paying attention to what is in front of me and when I turn back I run against the wall in front of me.
I’m knocked out immediately.
Everything is blurry and my head is throbbing when I wake up. The ground doesn’t seem as cold and hard as it should be. I open my eyes and expect to see the sky but I do not. I’m inside so I sit up to take a better look of my s.
The space is big and light. There are no curtains in front of the windows and the sun shines into the five windows. It’s warm in the room but I’m still shivering. A blond girl walks into the room. She’s dressed in a black dress, black boots and a cape. The cape is falling over her head so I can’t see her face.
The girl looks up at me when she gets closer. Her smile is bright and lights up the room even more. “Hi you’re awake. How are you feeling?”
“My head is throbbing and everything is still a little blurry. Thank you for taking my our of the cold and inside.” I look at my hands and start fiddling my fingers. “Was I out all night?”
“Yeah mostly. You were awake a couple times but you weren’t really coherent so I just let you sleep it off for a little while longer.” The girl turns around and walks away. “I’ll be right back. Make yourself at home.”
I move to the edge of the bed, I test my legs before I stand up. I’m a little dizzy at first but it clears up quickly. I walk to the area that looks like the kitchen. Walking past a couple cabinets I stop in front of the fridge. I reach for the handle and open it.
There are glass bottles in the fridge. I pick one up and it’s filled with some sort of red juice. I pull of the cap to smell it. The bottle slips out of my hands and splashes on the ground. The girl runs into the room and takes my hand.
All of a sudden I’m back on the bed. The girl is standing in front of me and she’s still holding my arm. I pull it back quickly. “Why is there blood in the fridge and how did you do that?”
The girl looks at me. “I think that you know very well what this means and you don’t seem to be freaking out about it. Which is a great thing if you ask me? Saves me a lot of work.”
“But vampires are not real! This is a dream.” I start pinching myself and I slap my cheek. When I open my eyes again the girl is still there. “I don’t know what I should thing about this?” I know that I look horrified but I do not have an urge to run away.
“My name is Grace. I’ve been living on this planet for about a hundred year. I was turned at 18 years old and became a full-time traveler not long after I was turned.” She raises her head. “I wanted to use my new power for something good and I’ve be helping people all over the world for about 80 years.”
My heart is racing but I don’t feel scared of her. She seems really nice. “I’m Mamrie.” I whisper.
“Nice to meet you Mamrie. Do you want something to eat?”
I nod my head slowly. “Yes thank you.”
“I’ll be right back.” Grace leaves the room and comes back with a full plate of food seconds later. “Here you go.”
I take the plate from her, I pick up one of the pieces of bread and start eating slowly. “I’m confused. I should be scared of you but I’m not.”
“I can hear your heart racing so if you’re not scared something else is happening.”
I turn to look Grace in the eyes and she does the same thing at the exact same time. She stare in each other’s eyes for a while before we both start to bend forward. My lips touch her tender lips softly. It’s an sweet kiss.
I pull back and look at Grace and I smile at her. “I think that I know what’s happening to me.”
She smiles her sweet smile back at me and winks. “I think that I know too.”

I walk outside to take a breath, a little break from the Halloween party I’m at. I close the door behind me as I walk out. I look for a spot to sit as I walk on the path in the garden.
I spot a stone next to the lake. I walk up to it, adjust my costume a little before I sit down. I take a deep breath and sigh. It’s nice out, not too cold and not too warm for a day in October. I can feel myself relax a little bit as I listen to the wind blowing through the trees and over the water.
A black cat runs past at it scares me for a minute. With my heart beating in my throat I take a deep breath.
“Stupid cat.” I yell at the cat that has already disappeared into another garden.
I hear the door open behind me and I know I’m not alone in the garden anymore. “Grace? Grace where are you?”
It’s Mamrie just the person I didn’t want to see in this stage. I take one more big breath before I answer Mamrie. “I’m sitting next to the lake.”
I hear her walk closer over the stone path. My stomach is all tied up, my thoughts are racing and my heart is beating in my throat again. Mamrie places her hand on my shoulder suddenly and I jump into the air. I’m jumpy today.
“Sorry Grace. Didn’t want to scare you?” Mamrie sits down next to me.
I turn to look at her. “Its fine. I’m just jumpy today.” We smile at each other. “Did you need some air too?”
“Yeah but I was mainly looking for you. Somebody said you went outside alone and I got scared something would happen to you.”
I look at her confused and pick on the hem of my costume. “Why would something happen to me? I was alone in the garden before you joined me.”
“Grace! There’s a killer on the loose in the neighborhood.”
My eyes fly open. “A killer! Let’s go back inside.”
I take Mamrie’s hand and stand up from the stone we are sitting on. Mamrie stands up too. She’s still holding my hand when we start walking back to the house.
Every sound I hear scares me at the moment but the thought that Mamrie is still holding my hand calms me down a little bit. We arrive at the backdoor, Mamrie pulls it open and it does not give.
“The door is locked.” Mamrie knocks on the door but nobody moves inside. “Let’s walk around to the front door.”
Mamrie takes my hand again. We walk to the left so we can walk around the house and go inside at the front door. My thoughts are still racing. It’s making me more paranoid than normal. “Mamrie I’m scared.”
Mamrie grips my hand a little tighter. “Don’t worry. We’ll be fine.” She raise our hands to her mouth and kisses mine. “Everything is going to be fine Gracie.”
We arrive at the front door and it’s closed too. We walk up and ring the bell. No answer so Mamrie walks to the window and looks inside. She looks shocked when she looks back at me.
“Grace we need to go now.”
“Why? What happened?”
The front door opens behind us. A hooded person with a mask and a dripping and bloody axe stands in the doorway. It looks at us.
“GRACE! RUN! NOW!” Mamrie pulls me with her as we run down the street.
The killer runs behind us and is yelling at us. Mamrie lets go of my hand as we run. I run for my life happy that I was once a track star.
Mamrie is starting to get further behind. I keep looking behind to check were she is and the killer is getting closer. “Grace wait for me.”
“MAMRIE! LOOK OUT BEHIND YOU!”
I can hear a lot of sounds behind me and Mamrie starts screaming. “Grace help me.” I stop running and I look back.
The killer is on top of Mamrie and she is screaming her lungs out. “GRACE! GRACE HELP ME.” I turn around and run back stopping just before I reach them. I take a deep breath. Let’s do this. I jump on the killers back and start punishing the killers head but nothing happens. I fall on the ground. The killer stands up and looks between Mamrie and me.
“Please let us live.” I cry. “I don’t want to die yet.” Tears start to stream down my face because I know I’m dying tonight. All of a sudden I hear giggling and later laughing. Why do I hear laughing. I open my eyes and the killer is gone, I’m still on the ground.
I stare at the starts in the sky and nothing seems to happen. Until Mamrie comes into my view. “Grace? Are you okay?” I sit up to look at Mamrie.
“What just happened?”
“Uhm we kinda pranked you.” The killer walks up too and pulls his mask off his face, Hannah has joined us.
“Hi Grace.” I can’t keep my smile in anymore and start laughing. “Are you okay Grace?”
My smile grows even bigger and I nod. “I’m okay. I just didn’t expect this. Thanks for the scare ladies.” I jump up and run into Mamrie’s arms.
I slam myself into Mamrie and kiss her hard. She does not do anything at first but relaxes into it later. I stop and pull back from Mamrie to look at her.

“Hannah, if I trip over more of your shoes, I’mthrowing them all away.”
Mamrie stands in the living room with two pairs onHannah’s shoes in her hands. She looks at Hannah, expecting an answer shedoesn’t get from Hannah.
Hannah smirks at her.
“I swear, I’m not scared. Do your worst.”
Mamrie smirks back at Hannah and squeezes her eyesclosed. She puckers her lips as she looks at Hannah.
“Are we really going to do this?”
“I think we are.”
“Just sleep with one eye open, that’s all I’m saying.”
Hannah shakes her head.
“You’re so dramatic Mamrie. So dramatic.”
“Just say it. That’s why you love me Hannah. Just sayit.”
Hannah shakes her head before she leaves the room togo to the bedroom. Wildly shaking her head at Mamrie.
Hannah undresses and moves the blankets back beforeshe takes place in the bed. She checks her phone one more time before sheplaces it on her nightstand.
Hnnah sleeps within seconds and starts to snoresoftly.
Thefloor is lava. So I’m stuck in my big chair.
“Mamrie!Mamrie where are you?”
“I’mright next to you so you can stop with the screaming Hannah.”
Ilook around but I don’t see her.
“Wereare you?”
“Lookdown!”
Ilook down and I see a miniature Mamrie sitting on one of the pillows. I startlaughing and pick her up.
“Ahyou’re so small and cute.”
Mamrielooks mad at me.
“I’mnot cute at all Hannah.” Mamrie huffs. “Oh and pillows are over-rated. Yoursare really crappy.”
“Justsit down on those pillows and watch this movie or I’ll place you on the lavafloor.”
“Youwouldn’t dare.”
“Don’ttest me. Because I’ll do it.”
Shelooks at me daringly and I grab the back of her shirt. I lift her up and holdher above the floor. Her feet almost touching the lava and it must be hurtingbut she doesn’t give a kick.
“Let’sjust watch this scary movie.”
Ipull Mamrie back up but do not let her go yet.
“Scarymovies are for chumps.”
Iraise my hand and throw Mamrie up. I do not catch her and she falls into thelava. That’s when she starts screaming.
Hannah jumps up in bed. She’s covered in sweat andpanting. Mamrie is asleep next to her and perfectly fine. She is snoring softlyas a small smile appears on her face.
Hannah moves closer to Mamrie and drops her head onMamrie’s chest. She wrap her arm over Mamrie’s chest too and closes her eyes. Mamrietakes a big breath and pulls Hannah closer.
“Bad dream again?”
Hannah nods.
“Do you want to talk about it?”
Hannah shakes her head. “I had a dream about you. It startedas a fun dream but it turned into a nightmare.”
“It’s okay now. Try to sleep, we can talk about in themorning.”
“Can you sing to me, please?”
“Of course Banana.”
Hannah hugs Mamrie closer and sighs one more timebefore she closes her eyes.
Mamrie starts to sing softly as Hannah starts to driftof slowly.

“Goodmorning Sunshine. Did you sleep well after yournightmare?”
