Gomamon
This is the third pattern I’ve written myself. My very own version of Gomamon looks like this:
And here is my pattern: Head: 1: 6 sc in a Magic Ring (6) 2: inc around (12) 3: (sc, inc)x6 (18) 4: (2sc, inc)x6 (24) 5: (3sc, inc)x6 (30) 6-10: sc around (30) 11: (2sc, inc)x10 (40) 12-13: sc around (40) 14: (2sc, dec)x10 (30) 15: (3sc, dec)x6 (24) 16: (2sc, dec)x6 (18) 17: (sc, dec)x6 (12) 18: dec around (6) Fasten off, weave the tail through the last round, pull to close, leave a long tail to sew the head to the neck.
Neck: 1: chain 20, sl st in first chain 2: sc around (20)
Body: 1: 6 sc in a Magic Ring (6) 2: inc around (12) 3: (sc, inc)x6 (18) 4: (2sc, inc)x6 (24) 5: (3sc, inc)x6 (30) 6-15: sc around (30) 16: (3sc, dec)x6 (24) 17: (2sc, dec)x6 (18) 18: (sc, dec)x6 (12) 19: dec around (6) Fasten off, weave the tail through the last round, pull to close, weave in end. Hair: 1: chain 13, skip first ch, work 1 ls(loop stitch)* into the next 11 chains, 2 ls around the last chain, work 1 ls into the other side of the next 11 chains and 2 ls into the chain you’ve skipped earlier (26) 2: 11 ls, 2 ls dec 11 ls (24) (the side with the ls dec is going to become the front part of the hair) Fasten off, leave a tail for sewing. * there are loop stitch tutorials on youtube.com.
The eyes and the purple patches are felt that I glued on, and the mouth is just embroidered in a bit of leftover black yarn. After sewing the hair onto the head, cut the loops and give Gomamon a nice haircut.
