In the past 3 years (roughly) I finished uni, went through emotional bullshit and matured into an adult like many others. I got a job, moved out of my parents and started paying taxes and my student loan. I hardly drew anything or cared about fictional characters because damn I ain't got energy to spare to care about anything but myself. Anyway, I found my way back here because I don't want to be like that anymore, unfeeling and indifferent. I want to put back the pieces of something I once enjoyed. It's also kind of funny that it was dishonoured 2 that kicked me awake >_>

I've always thought my creations lacked emotional depth, and I never stopped to think about why. I could draw something that looked sad, but I could be feeling one-tenth of what I wanted to portray, and what came through would seem laughably inadequate (in retrospect). I simplified those emotions, they became little icons rather than what they should have been. The worst of all was that I even assumed I understood them. Maybe now I'll understand a little bit better, as I am learning to be more emotionally mature. (yeh hello friends I'm alive :p yay)
