“Um excuse me mam,” Nik approached with a feigned hostility. “I saw that you just watched me get assaulted by kids with squirt guns back there and did nothing to help. How do you sleep with yourself at night?”

Mya laughed at his question before quickly covering her mouth with her hand. “My sincerest apologies, but I thought that maybe you’d done something that warranted such an assault and who would I be to stand in the way of their vigilante justice, so you can understand my predicament.” 

“Oh it absolutely is,” Julian looked over with a warm smile. “You are indeed bragging and I am absolutely seething with jealousy. What is a day of Mya Nunez like then?”

“I do apologize,” she said with a soft laugh. “Well, there’s usually yoga and a smoothie and sometimes there’s candle making. It sounds rather boring, but I like it a lot more than what I use to do,” she admitted with a shrug. 

“Good,” Julian put his arm out for her to take as they walked to a cafe. “My mornings are always a bit hectic with consultations. You are a welcomed break. And yours?”

Mya offered a soft smile as she took his arm, falling in step beside him. “It’s good I came by when I did. My day has been pretty relaxed, actually. I don’t have many that aren’t. That sounds like I’m bragging, doesn’t it?” 

“You are the something important. Please, I insist.”

“Oh, well, if you insist. Thank you. Has your day been busy?”

“Don’t run off just yet. Let me get you a coffee.”

“Are you sure? Do you have the time? I don’t want to keep you from anything important.” 

Mya: Um, I have a flashlight? What do cats consider toys?

Bridget: Like... feathers and later pointers and things they can hit with their paws

Jordan: A neighbor's ladder then or just do it and call the firefighters, they gotta want something to do.

Reese: I definitely would have given up if faced with this struggle.

Celestia: I get that for sure! I don't at all blame you for feeling responsible. It's hard to see something cute that could be in trouble. Where are you at? I can come help so you don't have to call anyone else cause I don't mind one bit!

Shanley: You say harsh, I call it effective.

Atlas: All the more reason to have a home that makes you super fucking happy then! I love it. Abso-fucking-lutely, yeah! Brightening up a kitchen is always a good thing, spend so much time in there. I haven't, tried to be a "man" about it and all that, you know. Bout time I give that up.

Astrid: That's... Kinda creepy, yeah.

Astrid: Maybe a simple bowl of milk would work? Surely you (or maybe a neighbour) has some milk?

Mya: Right!? It's a little weird!

Lana: Oh, so he popped up there while you were eating?

“No I’m sure I don’t.” Kyson shrugged, “Well I’m sure there are worse reputations you can have.”

“Yeah? What would you say is a worse reputation?” 

“Oh well then you should try it, the flavor is great” he said smiling. Nodding his head and laughing “yeah just a bit” he said to her. “Why is it more your thing?”

“Sorry,” she laughed. “I’m a beekeeper. Well, amateur beekeeper. It was more a hobby at first, but now it’s like a thing, so I have a lot of honey and bee related things.” 

“But there are people out there drinking a whole raw egg for breakfast. As healthy as I want to be I don’t think I could get on that fad.” Melody shook her head as a laugh escaped her lips at the thought. “Ooooh, well if that’s how the food pyramid is meant to be I’m almost certain I could get on board with that diet. Maybe substitute the oreos for something else like grilled cheese but otherwise that is definitely a food pyramid I wouldn’t mind eating from.”

“Oh, no, no, no. I couldn’t imagine the texture of that. It’d be lot swallowing a massive ball of snot,” Mya said, scrunching up her nose. “Have you ever tried making a grilled cheese made with garlic bread?”

“Well that’s an understatement.” Kyson couldn’t help but laugh a little bit. “That would have made more sense, but you can’t always control it unfortunately.” 

Mya laughed along with him. “You don’t even know the half of it,” she sighed more to herself than to him. “It is quite unfortunate. I’m going to start getting a reputation as the weird yogurt lady.”
