EVERYONE online is diagnosing themselves with ADHD and autism and shit" like damn wonder if there might be something about 1) a constantly changing stream of content you can tailor to your current interest exactly and/or 2) a method for socializing with no sensory overload, no fluency in physical/verbal social cues, and a literal off switch when you're not feeling it that might draw neurodivergent people

I didn't think of it this way, but you're right. I think the way many Christian churches and congregations act is toxic, but every Jewish person I've spoken to has had a good relationship with faith. I live in an overwhelmingly white Christian area, but the Sikh kids I went to school with were also pretty cool. Because of the way I was raised and the community I grew up in, I linked 'religion' with 'christianity'. As an adult, I need to check that and unpack it. Thanks, CT.

One thing that took me longer than it should have to understand was that the books you build your path on dont have to be solely from the occult section. Read history books. Read mythology books. Mycology. Mental health. Local botany. There are a lot of things that apply and are extensively written on – just not in occult books. Too often occult books just give a brief overview of these subjects, and you’re lucky if they include references.
