Giratina: John, naturally lmao. I think especially with how Origin Form Giratina is the closest thing the series has to something Eldritch, plus that it's "face plate" almost looks crown-like.

Lampent: the equivalent of the lighter! I debated on going for shiny Chandelure since it's orange, but decided against it bc Lampent feels very fitting; more child-like, but not as fragile as Litwick.

Marowak: it's the dead parent pokemon. If there's anything on this list that Arthur would instantly feel empathy and pity for, it's this poor baby.

Herdier (shiny): loyal puppy!! Someone I know also made an adorable "Arthur as a Herdier" art piece and it's just stuck with me ever since. Adorable adorable puppy. Plus, every good P.I needs a sniffer dog for clues!

Kricketune (shiny): The musical bug! Silliness of it's cry aside, I think this fella would've been with Arthur the longest to play music alongside him. Gets really, really sad when Arthur stops playing the piano. It always tries to encourage him to return to it.

Lucario: Originally Parker's Pokemon, took him in after he... Well, Yknow. It doesn't know what happened, but it doesn't nearly like Arthur as much as it liked Parker. Rarely listens to him.

Ok so when painting I'll do basic colouring and then merge everything so I can blend better, but I'll keep separate layers of each stage as I go so I can go back if I want, meaning I can do this:
