I knew that you would approve – I just knew it.  We’re pretty damn excited, too.  As soon as he’s here and all settled into life, you’ll have to come meet the little peanut.

I can’t wait. I’m sure he’s going to be adorable. But then, with the genes he’s got, how could he not be?

I think that’s a perfect name. I see why you’d want to keep it a secret. No, I’m kidding - but I’m so excited for you! I can’t wait to meet him.

I might have to admit right now that I – we – missed you around town. Would ask why you left us but either way, glad you’re back. How are you?

You did?! Well, I must not be terrorizing well enough then. But I’m fantastic --- I was just up in Connecticut visiting some family. I’m glad to be back.

And I’m glad to see it, the place isn’t the same without you around.  I’ve been good, really good, getting ready for daddy-hood all over again in a couple of weeks.
