Youâre not alone.
the lack of reaction about readcomiconline's death is the true indicator of how many people just do not read comics but participate in the comics fandom
who let this guy in here
You know what? I'm gonna take this as an opportunity to ramble about piracy.
"Piracy is bad, yada yada."
Alright. We can agree on that.
Butâand I'm sorry if this comes across as offensiveâthat position often comes from a place of privilege.
And not just economic privilege.
I live in a country where American comics are not always easy to find, and in many cases they're never translated or published at all.
Just to be clear, I'm not talking about some mythical "third-world country". I'm talking about a perfectly ordinary European country where the comics I like simply aren't considered profitable enough to distribute.
I remember digging through obscure websites back in 2006 just to get a glimpse of The New Teen Titans. It was a nightmare, but somehow I managed to read the whole thing anyway.
It took me seven years to get a legally published copy of Blackest Night: Titans. SEVEN. Thank God for piracy, because it gave me immediate access. Otherwise I would have been the only idiot trying to discuss Black Lanterns in 2016.
Why? Because Titans comics are considered niche here. Shops don't stock them. Publishers often don't translate them. And when they do, sometimes the translation is... let's politely call it "creative". (I'm still trying to recover from the translated version of Last Will and Testaments...) You wait years, pay more, and occasionally get a worse product. Wonderful.
The only reason Blackest Night: Titans was eventually published here, as far as I can tell, is that Blackest Night was such a massive crossover event that leaving out an entire tie-in would have created a noticeable hole in the collection.
And don't even get me started on the Wolfman/PĂŠrez era. That only became legally accessible here in the 2010s.
So yes, this might come as a shock to some people, but piracy is not always about being cheap.
Sometimes it's about accessâbecause access is not distributed equally.
If a comic is unavailable in your language, unavailable in your country, unavailable digitally, unavailable physically, and unavailable second-hand at anything resembling a reasonable price, then "just buy it" stops being a solution and starts being nothing more than a slogan.
And for many international readers, piracy is the reason they became comic fans in the first place.
Peace out and read comics.
If you can, buy them, too.
wonderful pair of posts on the dash tonight
For those who are interested in helping in the RGB/Mr. Puzzles situation, I have created a google doc which highlights some key points and it woud really be appreciated if you could help spread the word!!! Please also correct me if I got some details wrongđđ
PREFACE The main purpose of this document is NOT to call out the similarities between Mr. Puzzles and RGB, or ask
I also made a few posts on my twitter page regarding the matter which seems to be gaining some traction, please help retweets those + the google doc post as well if you can

Say My Name Again Love:(GOD AU)God!England x reader
Arthur would never normally do this.
When a human was about to drown, he let Ivan claim them. He had never cared for mortals especially those foolish enough to swim in storms or jump off the cliffs in hopes the sea would take them . If they wandered into the sea, that was their mistake, not his burden.
But this time⌠you called his name.
You had cried out to Arthur, begging for your life as you struggled against the violent waves. It startled him no one had spoken his name in over a thousand years. The sound of it hit him like destiny itself. Desperation ignited inside him. Someone finally remembered him. Someone had summoned him.
Before Ivan could reach you, Arthur surged forward and seized you from the seaâs grasp. No...he wouldnât allow it. Not this time.
You were the only one who had called him in centuries. He would not lose you.
Your body went limp as consciousness slipped away, but Arthur held you tight, pulling you against his chest as the storm screamed around him. Wind lashed at him, plastering his soaked clothes to his skin, but he didnât care. Step by slow step, he carried you through the raging surf until his feet touched safe shoreline. He lowered you onto the wet sand, brushing aside the drenched strands of hair clinging to your face.
For a moment, the world faded. Thunder cracked, lightning shattered across the sky but Arthur heard only your heartbeat.
Thump.
Thump.
Thump.
A beautiful sound. A miracle. Relief washed through him. Ivan would not take youânot today, not ever.
Arthur promised himself right then that he would never let you slip away again. Heâd been alone for so long. Centuries of silence. Centuries of yearning with no one to call his own. Perhaps loneliness had finally broken something inside his divine mind⌠or perhaps it had opened it.
Was this what love felt like?
He usually hated Francis, but this....this mortal delivered into his armsâfelt like a gift.
Arthurâs eyes traced the curves of your skin, pale from the cold. He lifted you gently and held you against him, hoping the heat of his body would comfort you. He pressed a soft kiss to your forehead.
âMy love,â he whispered, voice trembling with this yearn he could not shake
âI heard your call. I came the moment you spoke my name. I wonât let Ivan take you.â
He gazed down at your peaceful, unconscious face, aching with longing.
âI wish you were awake,â he murmured, brushing his thumb along your cheek,
âso I could hear you say my name again. Call for me⌠my love.â
The feeling overwhelmed him sweet and suffocating, like drowning in honey.
He kissed your cold, blue-tinged lips. The sea had drained the warmth from you, but he didnât mind. In his arms, you would recover. You would be safe. And surely, once you woke, you would understand how much you owed him.
SurelyâŚ
You woke to the sensation of warmth; strange, impossible warmth radiating through your frozen limbs. Your lungs burned as you sucked in a shaky breath, coughing seawater onto the sand.
The storm still rumbled overhead, though quieter now, almost muted⌠as if held at bay.
As your blurred vision steadied, you felt cold and wetness around you. Your soaked clothes glued to your skin and nothing but the wind beating you down making your coldness unbearable
When you looked up, you saw the rolling storm clouds...how did you not drown? You should of drowned but by the grace of something youre alive and mostly unharmed.Â
Shivering, you pushed yourself upright, wincing as your soaked clothes clung to your skin. Your fingers trembled as you brushed sand from your palms. The storm still snarled overhead, but it felt⌠distant. Contained. Like a wild beast pacing.
You stared out at the sea, confusion twisting in your gut. You should be dead.Â
Arthur hovered in the storm half-formed, invisible to mortal eyes, his divine body stitched into the clouds themselves. He watched you wake exactly where he had placed you with a whisper of power. Not a touch. Not a step. Just will.
He had folded the tide around you like an arm, commanded the waves not to take you. He had pushed air into your lungs, coaxed your heart to keep beating. No mortal would notice the delicate threads he tugged to pull you back into life.
Only he knew.
Only he saw.
He drifted closer, his form flickering like lightning behind the clouds. He wanted to descend. He wanted to touch you again hold you, cradle you, drown you in his affection. But he stopped himself.
Not yet.
Not until you called his name again.
Arthur smiled, watching your bewildered expression, the way your breath hitched as you scanned the shores for answers that did not exist.
The wind whipped against your face, stinging your chilled cheeks. Your legs wobbled as you struggled upright. A distant crack of thunder made you flinch.
You touched your chest where your heart thudded weakly.
It shouldâve stopped. You knew it.
A strange tingling buzzed beneath your skin, warm despite the cold like someone had breathed life back into you.
You swallowed hard.
âHello?â you called out, voice trembling. âIs someone there?â
The waves answered with a low hiss.
The clouds churned.
And though you heard nothing, the storm itself seemed to hold its breath
Above Arthur shivered in absolute disgusting delight.
She spoke. She reached. She searched for him.
Even if she did not remember calling his name the first time⌠she would remember the second. And the third. And the thousandth. He would ensure it.
Arthur stretched his hand toward you through the clouds, his fingers brushing nothing but air yet the wind stirred your wet hair as if something unseen passed close by.
âMy beautiful mortal,â he whispered, âyou donât understand now⌠but you will.â
Lightning rolled gently across the sky, almost affectionate.
âI have waited centuries for someone to reach for me. I will shape your path. Guide your steps. Stir your dreams. Until you say it again.â
He closed his eyes, smiling as thunder rumbled like a loverâs hum.
âSay my name again, little one. Call to me just once more.â
His voice cracked with longing.
âAnd I will come.â
Arthur watched you long after you left the beach.
He followed as a ripple in the wind, a flicker in the corner of your eye, a hum in the air that made your skin prickle. You returned home exhausted, shaken, still shivering from cold yet alive.
Alive because of him.
You wrapped yourself in blankets, made tea, tried to convince yourself you had a normal life. And for a few days, you pretended you did.
But the signs began.
It started out really small, something the average person would brush off and you really tried to brush off these signs.
Every time you showered, the steam twisted into shapes you couldnât explain creating curling patterns like waves⌠like letters⌠Then your water on your nightstand would have waves and ripples despite your home being still. Clouds would form above your home but there wouldn't be a cloud in the sky anywhere else. It seemed like odd phenomenon
Something was always watching you
Not with malicious intent but as if it was studying your every move
~~~~
You sat with your friends at a cafĂŠ, hands wrapped around a warm cup of coffee as you tried to laugh it off.
âOkay,â your friend Mariah said slowly, âthatâs⌠concerning?â
Your friend Bella leaned in. âGirl, youâve been off ever since that storm. You sure you didnât hit your head?â
You hesitated. âI donât know what happened. I thought I drowned. And then I didnât.â
Your friends exchanged looks.
âAnd now,â you whispered, âweird things keep following me. Wind. Water. Dreams. I keep hearing things. Feeling things.â
âWhat kind of things?â Mariah asked gently.
You exhaled shakily.
âLike someone is calling for me.â
They laughed at first, nervously.
Until thunder cracked outside despite it being on a perfectly sunny day.
The whole cafĂŠ jumped.
Every head turned. The sky remained blue.
Your friends stared at you.
ââŚOkay,â Bella whispered, âthatâs not normal.â
âIâm not saying this seriously,â you murmured, âbut thereâs this old mythââ
Your friends groaned not your old mythology again.... âNo way.â âDonât tell me youâre doing the mythology thing again.â âYou mean the storm god guy? Arthur or whateverâ
Heat crept up your neck. âI just⌠I donât know. Itâs weird. I screamed his name when I was drowning. I donât even know why I remembered it.â
Mariah frowned. âArthur? That name?â
You nodded.
âYeah. People used to worship him in the coastal regions, like a thousand years ago. God of the sea and storms.â You swallowed. âThey said if you called his name, heâd either save you⌠or drown you.â
Your friends shuddered.
âOkay, thatâs creepy.â
You tried to shrug it off. âItâs just an old myth.â
But the moment you spoke his name, lightning flashed silently across the sky outside too fast for anyone but you to notice.
Your breath hitched.
~~~~
Arthur...Oh Arthur He was delighted, He heard you say his name again He couldn't care if it was in fear that's what the gods like they love the fear but it wouldn't matter you will be his bride these mortals wouldn't be able to stop him from taking you.
The gods wouldn't care too much Afterall, it'll be nice for someone to spread the old mythology and get this place up and running again. Just you wait.
Hey hey, I have an ask! I'd kill for some Allies and Axis content. How about reader never let's anyone hear them sing but they get spied on by their boyfriend. How would they react if reader was actually a good singer?
okay, been on and off due to getting surgery to remove inflamed nerves, BUT I AM SO FOR THAT??? I am actually a musician so I love singing but I'm so self conscious lol!
