A tumblr for the future

Sitting outside, in the sun, doing a little studying~ and getting sunburnt. Always getting sunburnt -w- Getting better at dandelions though~

Some objects my wife and I brought home with us, or did from photographs (the bluebells are a protected species, so best not to pick them). Pinecones are HARD

Please ignore the ugly little covering of my email, you understand why :3 My wife! has started making me sketchbooks! Which is incredible!! So, I had a little fun with the first page. Why not~ This one is going to be a study book, mostly of objects we bring in or have at home, I think. But we shall see~

Rather than using online searches, sometimes I liked to look through my own photos and use them instead. Plus, test out different styles!

Hey, it's fun to practice textures - even if your colour palette is totally off. Why not?

There's a whole series of these, lol. Not much more to say.

I've been getting into painting in the evenings - going on Tumblr or elsewhere and looking up a tag like 'landscapes', and just practicing a few that catch my eye. I'm trying to find a loose style - this kind of practice is very nice.

A warm day! In England! Who knew such a thing existed. Studies outside are really nice, I just need to get a better grip on my water brush~

I need to do this again.
