not lying? just been sitting down and catching my breath about it all 

Pete was never much one for mushy physical affection but he allowed Mark to nuzzle his nose, scrunching his up slightly. “Yeah, sounds ‘bout right. That and gettin’ as many people as I can to go vegan, I reckon. ‘S yours? Learn as many Weird Al songs on the bass as ‘ya can?” 

“Yeah, ‘ya do,” he murmured between their kiss, finally pulling back to adoringly look Mark over. “Happy new year, handsome.” 

“Yeah, well…” Trailing off, he kissed at the spot he’d bitten before sitting up and turning Mark’s chin so that their lips met, “y’know I don’t take bitin’ lightly.” 

“Bite you, ‘ya said?” Pete leaned over, placing his mouth on Mark’s shoulder, softly biting at it, “Bite first. Kiss second.”
