Asking for a friend but what are the hypno games that hypnotise you, please? I've played the Test Hypnosis Game by Sleepingirl but that's the only one I'm aware of and would love some recs if possible π
P.S. I think your blog is awesome π«
Hi Anon, it took me a while to answer your ask - apologies for that - but I needed to look through my blog again to find some examples. Personally I'm not familiar with the Test Hypnosis Game by Sleepingirl, but now I know I have something fun to try later tonight!
If you want a personal hypnotic experience through gaming, tabletop gaming will be your best option. TTRPG's like Dungeons and Dragons or Call Of Cthulhu - if you like your experience to be creepy as well - come to mind. However, you will need to be with at least 2 people or more in order to achieve this, and you'll have to discuss the gaming experience that you desire (or do not want) with everyone involved.
If this is not an option at the moment, video games will also work. This will be a less personal experience, since there will be no hypnotist present to see how deep you're going and to check in how your experience is going for you in general. Everything is programmed in advance, so it can't change itself on the fly to adapt to your desired experience, you'll have to make those changes yourself.
Keep that in mind as I'll list a few games that I know that are either made to outright hypnotize you, or games involving hypnosis that do not have the explicit intent to trance you but might end up dropping you regardless.
One of the first hypnogames I've played. You hypnotize girls in game by... clicking on a spiral. Depending on your settings, the spiral might also be something else, like breasts for example. If the game notices that you haven't clicked for a while, it might try and actively hypnotize you. It also brings you back up after the session.
This is a 2048 game, straight forward and simple. The imagery has been replaced by spirals however. Personally I don't find the spirals themselves all that inticing, since I don't tend to drop from spirals alone. The gameloop itself however does grab me. So I guess the combination spirals and gameplay does drop me ever so slightly.
A fractioning game, and the one that got me to go quite deep. It takes about 40 minutes from start to finish, and I did find a pleasant experience. One very good thing about this game is that it has an escape programmed in. Do you need to leave early for some reason? Just press ESC and the game will bring you right back up.
A point and click game, in which the spiraling eyes of Kaa will slowly but surely fill up your screen while he whispers you to go to sleep. You try to resist of course, but how long will you be able to do so? It's simple and not that effective IMO, but it's good fun. If you're susceptible to spirals, you might be able to drop for Kaa this way.
I haven't played a whole of games that set out to hypnotize you. However, I did find a MC Games Wiki that have two categories that might interest you: Player Hypnosis (aka games that set out to hypnotize the player) and Hypnotic Gameplay (aka games that may or may not be about hypnosis but do have hypnotic gameplay that might entrance the player). Check out those pages as well.
