This is an indie, low activity and very canon divergent Yuugi Mutou blog written by Chi! (she/her, 20+). And he showed his happiness by running up and giving him a huge hug...knocking them.both over.

The hug came as a surprise. As soon as he felt a body crash right into his own, seemingly out of nowhere, Kura didn’t have the time to steady himself before they both came tumbling down onto the ground with a loud THUD. Air briefly knocked from his lungs, Kura was stunned for a moment. He blinks several times, registering what had happened, before he finally glanced down at the other who practically clung to him.

     their day had been going pretty well,  as relaxed as it could get.   it seemed that life was giving them a break finally after everything they’d been through.   still,  curiosities lay within the air,  lavender gaze shifting towards the other when the question arose.   was he annoyed?   not at all,  just a little surprised   …

“well,  it’s just you never showed any interest before.   you just caught me off guard a little,”   he said,  shifting his position on the couch so he was now completely facing yugi.   after all,  he’d need his full attention if he was going to become his tutor.   but listening to his reasoning?   oh,  atem couldn’t help the smile that broke out onto his face.

“i guess i could teach you a couple things.   that being said,  are you up for the challenge,   ya rouhi?”   came his voice in a teasing tone.

Yuugi found himself relaxing as Atem spoke to him in that teasing tone. It made him feel much more at ease, as shown by the way his shoulders relaxed and the twitch of his lips, which morphed into a more confident grin. His brow quirks and he soon found himself nodding quite jovially.

“And so, I told Jounouchi-kun. . .Ah. . .mou hitori no boku?” Yuugi cut himself off when he noticed that the spirit of the puzzle wasn’t accompanying him at his side as he normally did. Looking around, he frowned for a moment, and then turned to glance behind him, where he spotted the spirit. . .admiring a kitten? 

The sight was something unexpected and yet so utterly endearing at the same time. It made Yuugi wish, regretfully, that the spirit had his own body just so he could capture this moment on video on his phone. He was way too cute for his own good. . .

A sheepish smile forms on the man’s lips as he leans against the back of the sofa, turning his attention away from the pharaoh for a brief second. He didn’t expect the question, it had caught him off guard. And now he felt a little silly with how much of an excited child he must have sounded when he first approached Atem with the request.

Violet hues would brighten in obvious delight at the sight of the girl holding his Silent Swordsman card. He had been so distracted with packing his duel disk up, as he had just finished winning a duel with another duelist, that he ended up dropping his most precious card as a result. “Thank you, I would’ve been upset if I ended up losing him.” He grins, taking the card from her as he added it back into his deck.

   ❝ BUT I DON’T WANT TO— ❞ And then looked at his arm where he was hugging his arm. He blinked and tried to breathe, he was trying. ❝ Deep breaths… Yeah, alright… ❞
