I work at a community college, and they are implementing a Title IX training for all faculty and staff to ensure the victim is hard and protected.

This makes me happy, and I hope this is indeed effective the way that it's intended.

They referenced the documentary "The Hunting Grounds", which I'm watching now.

It makes me reflective on the sexual assault that happened. I invited a fellow wrestler / friend over for pizza and movies.

It's still hard to talk about it out other than tiny little fucked up bullet points...

Like when I was screaming "No. Stop. Get off", my roommate at the time just turned up the radio in her room.

Or like when he finally was done and left, I decided to drive myself to the police station, and frantic driving a cop pulled me over. Me, who was already sobbing from the incident, over. I told the cop what had happened. He gave me a warning thinking I was trying to get out of a ticket.

-Flashforward to years later. I try to warn a "friend" (or someone I thought was a friend) about what had happened with him so she could be safe and alert. To which, I ended up consoling her because she was offended as to why he never made advances on her when she's "obviously more attractive".
