Here it is! First piece of the year. āLight is like waterā 10 x 6.5ā . Based on a short story with the same title by Gabo. I found the story simple and yet beautiful and compelling. In the end kids quite literally end up drowning in light, an idea that spoke to me in such a personal way that I decided to do my own take on it. This oneās acrylics/color pencils and I ended up doing some small adjustments in Photoshop. The original painting does have iridescent acrylic which is not easy to scan but you can see it better in the pics. Ā Rare for me to say this but Iām quite happy with how this one turned out, especially cus Iāve been increasingly interested in using more graphic elements in my work and I really enjoyed that part of the image.
