someone put a copyright on the absence of sound
and then disabled the audio of a video

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA VERY CAPITALISM
#somehow this makes the art even artier#amazing#the statement of silence would be amplified#by silencing it further?

After the Israeli army began striking the hospital, Alashi and el-Wafa’s 25 nurses made desperate arrangements to relocate the last 17 patients. Many of those in el-Wafa’s care are paralyzed and are connected to oxygen support. Some of the nurses left the building to seek help, braving Israeli fire on the streets in order to track down an ambulance with an oxygen tank.
“My nurses were unable to stand on their feet because of the smoke and the heat,” said Alashi. El-Wafa’s staff managed to evacuate all of the patients to a nearby medical clinic inside of a hotel. “The ones who could stay, stayed, but the ones who lost consciousness and lost control, we moved,” he continued.
Only after the facility was under heavy fire and in the process of being abandoned did Alashi receive a phone call from the International Committee for the Red Cross (ICRC) relaying a message from the Israeli army. A women who identified herself as a delegate of the ICRC said, “the Israelis asked ‘how much time do you need to evacuate,’” said Alashi, answering “two hours.” However, within an hour when the woman called back and said the Israeli army “will halt the bombings, and not bomb the hospital any more,” the facility was already in rubble. Alashi responded, “Are you joking, are you making a mockery of me? I told her it’s too late they have already destroyed it.”
“I said that the Red Cross is cooperating with the Israelis to destroy the hospital,” Alashi continued, recounting his earlier conversation with the representative from the ICRC. “I’m going to take you, the Red Cross and the Israelis to the International Criminal Court,” he announced before hanging up the telephone.
Please pray for the Palestinian people
Crazy shit
THIS
WHERE IS THIS FROM ?
It’s from “la source des femmes”
IT’S TRUE.
THERE IS NOTHING IN THE QU’RAN THAT SAYS WOMEN’S SOLE PURPOSE IS FOR OBEYING AND PROCREATING.
We are allowed to inherit and own property and businesses, and we are allowed to CHOOSE our husbands instead of having them foisted upon us in arranged marriages. WE ARE ALSO ALLOWED TO PARTICIPATE IN COMBAT.
I’ve read the Qu’ran COVER TO COVER and there’s nothing God says about women being LESS than men. In fact, God IMPLORES men to treat women as equals. Probably because God knew men have a tendency to foul things up and has to remind them that WOMEN ARE ALSO PRECIOUS CREATIONS OF HIS DIVINE WILL.

Sorry. I was in my feelings. But this touches my nerves a lot when people misinterpret Islam as some misogynistic religion. Nothing could be further from the truth.
This is important.
I like it.

"
Mysterious Traveller is the fifth album of Weather Report released in 1974. This album marked the end of bassist Miroslav Vitouš's tenure with the band. Vitouš was replaced by Alphonso Johnson. Another addition to the line-up is drummer Ishmael Wilburn. Greg Errico was the drummer for the tour between the previously released Sweetnighter and this album, but declined an invitation to be a permanent member of the band.
The record is generally considered[by whom?] to be the band's first that predominantly uses electric bass and incorporates liberal uses of funk, R&B grooves, and rock that would later be hallmarked as the band's "signature" sound. Also, the more restricted compositional format became evident on this album, replacing the more "open improvisation" formats used on the first 3 albums. It was voted as the album of the year by the readers of Down Beat for 1974, garnering their 2nd overall win in that category. Some[who?] consider this to be the band's best overall compositional effort.
The album peaked number two in the Jazz albums chart, number 46 in the Billboard 200 chart and 31 in the R&B album chart.[5]"

rant
Anyone else hate that we can only post 10mb music tracks? Psh... join the future tumblr.
I saw Zappa Plays Zappa last night in Arcata, CA. They played two hours late (starting 'round 10pm) 'cuz the 101 was shut down for an accident. My seat got "upgraded" to near-front row since people abandoned their spots. Of course I waited for them to go on! Frank Zappa is a hero of mine, one of the least recognized and most accomplished composers of the 20th century. He produced an incredible amount of material in a short amount of time, and unfortunately passed away a little before that bastard Nixon. His Son Dweezil Zappa is an incredible musician, and I think an awesome budding composer himself. He has obviously done his time in the woodshed; his playing is better than I can believe and compared to a few years ago when last I saw Him, much improved. What a treasure. These musicians blew me away and any one of them could of played in Frank's bands. I can't believe how lucky I am that they came back to Humboldt County on their Roxy & Elsewhere 40th anniversary tour. I can't believe this music was written 40 years ago... I believe them when they say that Frank Zappa wrote music "from the future." I have to salute Frank for not giving a shit about what anyone else thought, and leaving behind so much gold. Thanks buddy.
Oh yeah, they played 2.5 hours with no breaks between tracks, just like Zappa used to; they killed it, they killed it, they killed it.
