Hannah Fern is now 5 months old! Where in the world has the time gone!?! She has started scooting and rolling across the room to get where she wants to go and we expect that crawling is not too far away. She is a huge fan of rice cereal and gets extremely excited when she sees a bowl with her spoon lol. She has also started to “talk” a lot this past week. Hannah is now 4 months old! She is now 15lb and 25in long! It’s hard to believe that she now can roll over and is sleeping almost all night now. Hannah loves music and lights and any toys that make sound. It’s crazy how fast she is growing but I’m thankful for each and every day. As I reflect on this first Christmas as a mommy, I can’t help but think of my own childhood and remember the Christmases of my past. I remember the excitement of seeing all the presents under the tree and reading the story of Jesus birth from Luke chapter 2. I don’t remember every present but I remember playing with my dad and brother and then heading to Grandma Davis’s for lunch. Those very traditions are what we tried to do for Hannah. I pray that she remembers the love and joy of the season, that it’s not the gifts that matter but the people. I pray that she gets excited as much as I still do to hear the story of Christ’s birth. I am beyond thankful for my little Hannah Fern and I pray that next Christmas she will actually get to spend lunch with her great great Grandma Fern Davis and continue the traditions of my childhood. Hannah is 3 months old today! She is getting great at supporting her own head and has started to roll some. She has just started grabbing her rattles in the last few days. She is up to around 13lbs and grown a few inches too! She is such a happy baby and smiles most of the time now. Our little Hannah is a month old today! Time has flown by and she has changed so much in this short month. She is more alert and lets us know when she is happy or mad.
