There's this one conversation that you can hear in metro: last light in the theater where an old man shows shadow puppets to bunch of children.
He shows like regular animals that he remembers from the time before the apocalypse but the kids who were born in the metro and who have never seen regular animals before all try to guess the animals as mutants. Like nosalises and watchmen. And when the old man explains that no this is a goat the kids ask if it was aggressive and blood-hungry too. The old man tries to explain that these animals were peaceful but the kids who have no other perspective just don't get it.
The generational gap that the old ppl who lived most of their lives in the pre-apocalyptic world and the kids who were born after is highlighted so depressingly in this. i love it.
