This is what happens when you understand everything to the letter.

If you want to get my kind of score follow my strategy.

Check the requests every chapter. You’ll know who wants what and where to get them.

Travel to the nearest island. When you start, look around before you make your first turn.

plan the route you will take. Each chapter has 15 turns. Count the turns it takes to get to your required islands.

At each island check the prices of the available goods. they have a chart that tells how much they’re worth at every island. Left is buying, right is selling.

Buy the goods you can sell for a bigger profit. A calculator helps. Subtract the left price of the island you’re at to the price on the right of the next island you’ll travel to. If the result is a negative number you’re doing it right.

If a message in a bottle or a repair box is along your route check if you can reach that then the island. Bottles can carry extra requests. If you’re lucky it will be the same island you already have a request for.

If you’ve reached an island and there’s not enough turns for the next don’t buy anything. Dock the remaining turns then end the chapter. The prices change every chapter. PAY ATTENTION TO THAT.

Rinse and repeat until the ship durability wears out. Repair chests restore ship durability and starting another chapter mentions whether or not they change how much can be repaired.
