     Having regained his calm and collected demeanor, Near simply tilted his head back slightly to maintain eye contact with the blond as he abruptly threw his body towards the pale boy's. There was no flinch this time; no shock. It seemed as if the rescue team prying the doors open -- or, at the very least, making a reasonable attempt -- was reassuring him that they would be freed soon. However relieving that was, being released from their metal cage would allow Mello to leave and never return. Near wanted to avoid that; he didn't want Mello to sever all contact with him again. It was painful enough the first time around.
