- (1) set of brass scales!! ₊⊹
- as much spare parchment as you can fit in your trunk, seriously!! ₊⊹
- your course specific books, you will have 8 in total!! ₊⊹
- your quill (and honestly, a backup or two!!) ₊⊹
- pencils for rough drafts of your work!! ₊⊹
- (1) set of crystal/glass phials!! ₊⊹
- (1) a pewter cauldron!! (size 2) ₊⊹
(this section includes any required personal protection equipment that is not provided by hogwarts)
- (1) pair of dragonhide gloves!! ₊⊹
- (1) winter coat - black with silver fastenings!! ₊⊹
- (1) pointed black hat - for day wear!! ₊⊹
- (3) sets of plain work robes!! (black) ₊⊹
(finally - my favorite section!! you can bring whatever you're comfortable with - and within the school rules of course, but this is just my personal list)
- personal hygiene!! (this includes deodorant, hair products, skincare and oral hygiene!!) ₊⊹
- makeup!! (i only bring a brown eyeliner pencil + brown lip stain) ₊⊹
- personal books!! (that 8 hour train ride is very long, plan accordingly) ₊⊹
- personal blanket!! (i have an older quilt, but whatever makes you most comfortable is what you should bring - the school does provide linens but having your own blanket especially for the train ride is quite nice!!) ₊⊹
- clothes for the weekend!! (non uniform!!) ₊⊹
- pocket change!! (10 galleons is more than enough for the year at hogsmeade it you budget accordingly!!) ₊⊹
- marmalade!! (ok...this is me specific but i do love orange marmalade and they don't have it at hogwarts, i bring a jar from home!!)
