REO'S JEALOUSY IS SO SERIOUS TO ME !!!! i do find it funny to imagine reo never really getting over her weird possessive streak ... stay childish forever ... i think people who are Close friends are #safe (by which i mean...i think just chigiri LMFAO) but everyone else is on reo's radar. i think the converse is also true nagi is #notok with reo’s bifauxnen ikemen cult leader powers.

i like isagi and reo getting along fairly well in terms of football and strategy but nagi is always the switch in their very tentative functional relationship. like in the monitor room scene, isagi has a lot of consideration (and a lot of kindness) for reo’s situation, so they get along okay when they’re not talking about isagi. conversely nagi’s friendship with isagi is always characterised by them both being more than a little irritated by each other. isagi when he finds out that crazy monster genius is actually a lazy bum. nagi when he finds out that creature he needs to beat in order to get his and reo’s dream back is actually a little lame. i like that they bicker it’s very healing. when nagi is bullying isagi and reo is like ...i see how it is...you don't need me anymore...it's fine... and isagi is like NO DONT START THIS AGAIN NAGI DO SOMETHING

also in terms of people who are nagi's friends but not necessarily reo's friends... i think bachira and barou? hiori in my head, too. bachira and nagi are more of a group hangout friend circle (evidenced by the shibuya hangout arc where it was isagi&bachira&chigiri who invited nagi out). hiori is also pretty chill with reo so it makes sense that reo wouldn’t be throwing up flags for anything it’s okay. in my delusions niko and nagi are also otaku friends but reo and niko get along well wrt talking football so it’s okay (2).

barous relationship with nagi always makes me laugh because nagi’s beautiful mind palace where he dresses barou up in outrageous outfits is always so ???? What The Hell Nagi … thankfully reo doesn’t know about the maid barou (and cheerleader barou in pwc) saga but i think it would be quite possible for him to get stuck in his head about it. in another vein…barou and nagi are like oil and water and reo knows that too. since nagireo are both only kids with fucked up families so they don't get it's very familycore but nagi&barou siblingship is important to me. i appreciate the idea of reo and barou being like begrudgingly 'wow this is the only other guy with proper manners huh' (wrt pwc conversation about eating properly) and they're both fairly disciplined people but in the end they can never be friends because barou is constantly screaming at nagi and reo is NOT letting that slide. begrudgingly though i think barou is the only one who gives nagi solid relationship advice.

conversely chigiri gives the worst advice because he is a drama hog and an asshole with no remorse. chigiri and nagi imo get on like a house on fire. they’re on that similar bully-barou brainwave, they are both stupid in the head, theyre both trying to get their lovely wives back during the NEL, etc etc. i like to imagine they’re almost gossip buddies…reo and kunigami have more unique personal fixations but i truly think nagi and chigiri are natural born menaces. my wagamama princess btw.

kainess as zomst mizisua !!! i like the idea of mizi -> kaiser and sua -> ness in this case, especially wrt the entertainment industry corrupting kaiser sort of drawing a parallel to how he destroys himself to gain presence within the soccer world (with ness being pretty much the only one in his corner)…

i think also the progression of zomst misu’s relationship from sharing the same dream, to mizi losing herself and sabotaging her relationship with sua, to sua refusing to let go of mizi, to the merry bad end trope is all very kainess-aligned too. like this is a very simplified overview but i hope it makes it clearer that this more or less beat-for-beat the bllk kins arc pipeline.
