His sincerity is absolutely the thing that I fell for first with Jay, that layer that you find just right behind all that bravado, that is very kind and unexpectedly vulnerable and that is just trying to do his best. I love that in him so much, to this day, I love how genuinely he tries and how much things matter to him. Then I believe the thing that made me really want to be with him and really choose him is that he listens in the way that you know he cares, that you only have to tell him something hurt you once and you can trust that it will never be an issue again because he gives his everything to what he loves - whether that be me, or our daughter, or to himself and the career he built for his entire life. And he is an incredible father, so loving and so fun and so willing to be anything that his family needs him to be. And of course, I so appreciate the fact that it has always felt right with him. That we met, and that was pretty much all there was to it. That even when things are hard, it's so easy to choose him. Because he shows me why I should, every single day, he does not let me take this love for granted, he does not ever let me get bored, he does not ever let me question that he is the person for me and that I am the person for him. He is so brilliant and the real and true love of my life.
