1. What Magia Record character would/could your OC be good friends with?

She would get on pretty well with Mifuyu. They both went through a lot of shit and are working to save magical girls through the magius' questionable methods. She'd rather get assignments from her than the magius any day.

If she met her enough, I think she'd become good friends with Tsuruno. Banbanzai food may only be 50 points, but it's food! While Sayo's a bit more mellow than Tsuruno, they both work hard to keep their team's spirits up!

2. What Magia Record character would your OC HATE?

She works with them for the sake of salvation, but the magius really creep her out, particularly Alina. At times they remind her of an old abusive relationship. She's pretty sure Alina's fed some of her familiars to the witches in her collection.

While she wouldn't actively hate her, she'd be pretty jealous of (this timeline's) Homura. Yeah, her wish to save her girlfriend isn't working out the best, but at least she still gets to spend time with her.

3. How would your OC feel about the Kamihama Magical Union?

I don't know so much about arc 2 stuff, but she'd be all for magical girls working together and expanding the doppel system.

4. Would your OC have joined the Wings of Magius, given the chance? Why or why not?

She joins the second she finds out about their end goals. She even uses her unique talents to travel outside Kamihama to spread the good word of the magius to potential recruits nearby. All too often she's woken up to find a fellow magical girl desperately in need of a grief seed, only to have expended her magic on the one witch who could never drop one. If they can spread the doppel system across the world, nobody else would have to suffer that fate. She might even be able to grow up and live a more stable life without her regular witch-outs reverting her body back to the physical age she contracted at and usually dumping her in a brand new location.

It's regrettable that people will have to die to fuel the witches and uwasa, but it's no different from the way magical girls die constantly for a greater purpose they can't understand. She's almost certainly devoured people before as a witch, and she's had to crush the soul gem of many a magical girl who was on the verge of becoming one. She never had a problem with this before, right? Once they achieve salvation, it'll all be worth it. With witches no longer needing to be born, fewer people will die because of them. They just need to get there.

5. What would the name of your OC’s witch be? If they were outside Kamihama, what would be a sad story of how they could turn into a witch?

Carter, the travelling carnival witch. Its nature is fleeting.

It looks like a large vintage red hot air balloon with a bunch of chains and frills where the basket should be underneath. Without anything tethering it to the ground, it's prone to being blown around by attacks and even storms outside its barrier.

This wandering witch calls out to anyone nearby who might hear, drawing them into its labyrinth with offers of respite from the pointless suffering of the world. It's a fun place, if a bit overwhelming for the senses. The witch and its familiars will entertain visitors for a time, but few survive when it inevitably has to move on. It seems as apathetic towards its own life as it is towards the lives of its victims, fighting intruders with reckless abandon. After all, even if it's defeated, it'll be back before long.

The Medusas it summons resemble tiny glowing jellyfish, each one being a transparent balloon with buglike legs and a brightly coloured flame inside. Their duty is to entertain visitors to the labyrinth with pretty light shows and silly antics, but they'll use their flames to attack anyone ruining the fun.

Thanks to her ability, Sayo has witched out a lot. She lasted quite a few years after first contracting, fighting alongside the friend she saved. But of course, good things can't last forever. After either realising she was about to turn back into a witch or realising she'd never entirely come back in the first place (I haven't decided which), her friend decided to end things before she could go on a destructive rampage. This was too much for Sayo, who lost the will to crush her own rapidly darkening soul gem before it could hatch.

...Then she woke up at the other end of town. Future witch-outs would happen far more frequently. Frequently enough that she's taken to documenting the various scenarios that caused them, how painful they were and other such things. Of course, she can only update this when she can access her cloud storage from a phone or computer.

6. How does your OC feel about Mirrors? Do they avoid it, go there to practice, or want to solve it’s mysteries-- or do they have a different motivation?

She'd be curious about it, and would be interested in investigating it further if she had more free time in kamihama. She kind of wants to see if a mirror clone of her would be able to witch out and turn back or not. As it stands though, she's content to ask the other feathers about new discoveries when she's in town and occasionally training in there.

7. How does your OC feel about Kyubey? Do they know the truth about where witches come from?

She doesn't like him much, but can see why he does what he does. Plus, she learned some helpful techniques for bringing in new recruits by copying some of the ways Kyubey manipulates girls to get them to contract!

As for the truth about witches, she found that out right before making her contract but didn't stop to think it through until later. Whoops.

8. Your OC just unleashed their Doppel! What sort of inner battle takes place? How do they overcome their inner darkness?

Sayo's doppel is one of the really, really fused types. The first time she unleashes her doppel is kind of like Glasses Homura's first time, in that she almost turns completely into her doppel instead of it manifesting separately. There's a lot of confusion from both sides as to why she hasn't just turned into a witch like normal. They're able to fumble their way over to the witch and explode it, but didn't get a proper inner battle that time.

After learning more about the doppel system, they have a chance to properly communicate during a coordinator session. Her doppel wonders why she spends so much time and effort on people who will inevitably die soon. Or more specifically, why she still cares about them so much. It's also mildly offended that she's joined a group working towards a world without witches, even though it's sure the magius' plan is doomed to fail.

Sayo argues that with a power as unique as hers, why shouldn't she use it to help other magical girls? Her doppel claims she's saying that other magical girls are lesser than her, but says she should embrace it. She shouldn't have to tear herself apart just because she managed to game the system and others didn't. Sayo asks what else she's supposed to do. She can't get a job, go to school or lead any kind of normal life. Helping others and making them happier in any way she can is the only purpose she had left. Connecting with people lets her pretend she's still something close to a human.

9. Kaede is inside a witch’s barrier and needs saving! How does your OC help? ...Or do they not help?

Sayo would charge in and keep the witch occupied so Kaede can escape! She'll even give her the grief seed if she beats it because she'll be fine without one. If Sayo herself is about to witch out, she would try and get as far away as possible before that happens, or at least find a nice private corner so Kaede doesn't have to see it.
