Solar-powered executive performing my most important Monday task: hitting the perfect sunbeam in the office for a rigorous recharge session. 🪫 Dad and I had such an epic Father’s Day yesterday that I decided to be a benevolent manager and grant him a full day off from social media duties.

We celebrated the longest day of the year the only way we know how—by sleeping in, enjoying some quality king-size bed cuddles, and heading to the beach for a professional-grade sunbath. ☀️ Since Dad forgot to pack my treats, I was forced to rely on the kindness of strangers, and a huge thank you goes out to Uncle Roger for rescuing me with a delicious banana snack! 🍌 Now that we’re both fully charged and back at the grind, I’m planning to stay right here in this warm patch until the rotation of the earth rudely interrupts my nap. 😴

It hit my palate and vanished into my belly in roughly 0.2 seconds, and I have absolutely zero regrets. 😋 Living here in Vancouver really has its perks, and I’m pretty sure I’ve reached the pinnacle of luxury dining right here in my own kitchen. 🤤 I’m currently staring at the rest of the plate with the intensity of a thousand suns, hoping for just one more flaky, buttery bite to complete my masterpiece of a day!

Dad just walked through those sliding doors, and I’m standing here wondering if he realizes that the fate of my evening snacks hangs in the balance. 🍖 Does he know they have the good sashimi grade fish in there? 🐟 Will he remember the premium treats, or will he get distracted by a fancy bottle of sake and forget my very important requirements? 🍶 This is the ultimate test of our bond, and honestly, every second he spends inside is a second I could be sampling a Japanese sweet potato. 🍠 I’m currently staring at that entrance with the intensity of a thousand suns, just waiting for the bag to emerge.

If I don’t see a snack-shaped bulge in that grocery sack, I might have to file a formal grievance with the Schnauzer Union. 🗂️ Come on, Dad, the public is watching—bring out the goods and nobody gets barked at!

We actually got half a day of glorious sun this afternoon in #Vancouver, right between all the clouds and rain! ⛅️ And you know what that means: beach time!

Just look at me, living my best life by the water! 🌊 Walking on the soft sand, expertly jumping over logs (my athleticism knows no bounds!), and thoroughly investigating all the fascinating seaweed. 🪵 My nose is on overdrive, cataloging every salty, mysterious scent. 😍 This is what pure happiness looks (and smells) like!

Every sunny moment at the beach is precious, especially with fall fully here. ☀️ Dad, can we stay longer?! ⛱️ Please?! 🙏 My little schnauzer heart isn’t ready to leave yet. 🌅 There’s still so much sniffing to do, so many logs to conquer, and so much sun to soak up before the next inevitable downpour!

Dispensing mid-week wisdom straight from the enchanting trails of #PacificSpiritRegionalPark! 🏞️ Confidently striding towards Dad, expertly crossing this little log over a babbling creek. 🪵 My agility is truly unmatched (especially when there’s a camera involved)!

There are some fall leaves on the ground, but honestly, it’s still pretty green out here. 🌱 I think nature needs a strong gust of wind to really get those brown leaves falling! 🍂 My little schnauzer brain is already anticipating the sheer joy of romping through massive leaf piles.

Back at my beloved #OasisBeach, soaking up these last glorious rays of summer. 😎 And what profound wisdom am I sharing today? ☀️ It’s all about focus, determination, and the sheer joy of a well-earned snack!

Just look at this video: pure, unadulterated “eye on the prize” action! 👀 Dad just placed this magnificent #ShibaPuff from @pawfectpantry.ca right in front of me, and my gaze is locked. 🔒 He’s doing his usual “break it into small pieces” routine (which, while helpful, delays the inevitable deliciousness). 🤤 This is basically a fancy beach picnic, just for me!

My mid-week mantra remains strong: “Eat well, eat FIRST!” ⛱️ You need all that energy to tackle life’s challenges, then you can think about exercising (maybe) or going on a “diet” (definitely not). 😅 It’s a little sad knowing summer is winding down and the shorter days are coming, but as long as there are beach days and Shiba Puffs, this schnauzer will find his happy place!

Tackling the legendary stairs at Trail 7 up from #WreckBeach! ⛱️ And let me tell you, my tongue isn’t out because I’m being sassy (okay, maybe a little), but because these are SERIOUS steps! 😓 They say there are 300-400 of them – that’s a lot of up and down for these little legs!

But a fit schnauzer is a happy schnauzer, right? 😄 Gotta get that cardio in so I can keep up with all the important sniffing and treat-eating! 🍖 So, tongue out, paws pumping, I’m conquering these stairs one at a time! 👅 Wish me luck – I might need a puppuccino at the bottom to recover!

Dad stopped at this magical #RockyPointIceCream truck, and lo and behold, they had K9 ice cream! 🍨 In a CUP! 😲 Just for ME! 🤩 My little schnauzer mind is blown. 🤯 I’m sorry if I can’t look at you or the camera right now, Dad; I’m a little preoccupied. 😍 This is serious business; gotta eat it quick before it melts, right?! 🫠 My tongue is working overtime, a blur of happy licks!

I think… I think this might be the very first time I’ve ever tasted ice cream, and let me tell you, it’s a game-changer. 😎 Plain ice cream base with kibble mixed in and a milk bone on top? 🦴 This is gourmet! 👨‍🍳 My world just got a whole lot sweeter. 🌎 Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have to finish this before reality sets in.

My day has taken a very… energetic turn! ⚡️ We’re visiting my breeder today, and as you can see from this video, I’m currently hanging out with two of my distance relatives: schnauzer puppies!

My dignified 12-year-old self is trying to maintain composure, but these little fluffballs are a force of nature! 🙈 One minute they’re tumbling over each other, the next they’re trying to chew on my beard, and then they’re zooming around like tiny, furry rockets. 🚀 My sage advice to them? 🧘 “Patience, young ones. The art of the perfect nap takes years to master.” 😅 They mostly responded by nipping at my ankles.

It’s been a long time since I was that small! 🥹 It’s fun to see the next generation of schnauzers, even if they haven’t quite mastered the art of polite conversation (or not jumping on their elders).

Celebrating the mid-week point with a surge of energy thanks to a glorious sunny break! 🌤️ The thick clouds are finally parting, and that means one thing: Vitamin D recharge at the beach!

Masterfully navigating the #ForeshoreTrail at the #UniversityEndowmentLands! 🧭 Over the log bridge, up the little hill—I’m a determined schnauzer on a mission. 🏃‍♂️ “Follow me, Dad! Let’s run!” 💨 My internal GPS is locked onto the beach, where we can enjoy some cloud-watching and wave-listening before the clouds inevitably swallow the sun again.

My wisdom for today? 🤔 Don’t ignore a fleeting opportunity! ☀️ Especially when that opportunity is sunshine on a Wednesday. 💩 However, I have hit a crucial pause point: “Mmm, what’s that smell down here?” 🕵️‍♂️ I’ve stopped to launch an urgent intelligence collection operation right by the trail. 🔎 Mid-week encouragement means taking a break for joy, sun, and top-secret sniffing. 🤫 Halfway there, Dad! Let’s go! 😅 (After this investigation, of course!)

Taking you way back to just over two years ago for a truly monumental moment: my very first time at LAX airport! 🛬

Confidently walking side-by-side with Dad and his neon yellow carry-on luggage. 🧳 Little did I know, we had just landed for American Thanksgiving! 🦃 All those new smells, all those bustling humans—it was an adventure of epic proportions for a young (well, younger) schnauzer like me.
