Swatchton is... LOST MEDIA???!?!?

i see swatch as someone dedicated to their role as a darker and as queen's right hand bird, finding fulfillment in what they do, but having this hollow feeling after years of doing the same thing over and over. i've always felt that there's this underlying feeling of not truly being satisfied with their role, but any uncertainty or qualms about "the way things should be" and "everyone having a place in the world" is pushed down.

them thinking that it's not appropriate for them to be worried about their swatchlings ("My apologies. This is no time to reminisce."). the ignoring of more difficult topics until they had no choice to speak ("What? Basement? There's no basement here.", "Some even going so far as to attempt to impersonate me… In order to get the… Oh, nevermind. Macaron?"). the purposeful lack of any other expression. in an ironic way, i see the things people bring up as evidence for swatch being an asshole as evidence for another layer of depth they have being concealed.

i think ralsei and swatch mirror each other with how they're resigned to do what they must and keep the order of their respective worlds, and despite the ass dialogue for swatch in ch5, this is still true between them as of now. ralsei continuously telling flowery that he can't just do whatever he wants because things aren't supposed to be this way or another made me think of how swatch was trying to make susie conform to a certain standard to fit what they thought was appropriate.

so, overall, i interpret them as someone with the mask of a polite servant, but has an underlying frustration and pessimism for what they have to do.

I suppose this kinda counts as an au so. In this, battat is seen as attractive by lotsa darkners, but he COMPLETELY misses the point and thinks they're either being sarcastic or threatening him. Even Tenna managed to notice...

Lately, his employees have started to dislike him quite a lot (The main reason being, well, the horrid contract they have) so after lotsa thinking, he decides to find this little guy that's been captivating everybody lately and get him to be his co-host! Ahaha whatdoyoumeanitsdefinitelynotbecausehemisses[[SOMEONE]]...

But yeah fr the fact that we all made a fanon interpretation of Swatch and were left in the dark for so long only to see them turn out like this is just

It's Toby's OC first whether we like it or not, and on that account I respect his vision as I do with other headcanons! x) Does make it tough to draw my Swatch more though because I feel like I have to tell everyone that every time I draw Swatch, it's My Swatch #MySwatch

But, genuinely speaking, one of my favourite Swatch traits that I love writing on Deltacable Swatch, just has to be their pettiness and hypocrisy haha

And I do admittedly like to see how canon Swatch reflects this hehe, like you cannot convince me Swatch would willingly put themself in a situation where they bought from Addisons let alone use their stuff x)

But at the same time I do like how it reflects the kind of hypocrisy traits I like writing on them as a Person trying to do this High Class persona, but will do things that go against this perception of themself and that they wouldn't be caught dead doing any of it hehehe

Also their Castle Town sprite is 100% kneeling, I cannot imagine that as anything else LOL I want to draw Deltacable Swatch like that
