April's Merfolk of the Month is done! I promised to do something Peter Pan inspired, and I did. I don't know how well I conveyed post apocalyptic, but I tried.

The Trident is supposed to be made from scrap metal, and the armour on the merfolk is supposed to be made from sea-shells.

Then I get to use store bought paints as well as my fancy colors again for this. You know I'm gonna do a Peter Pan reference since codfish is up, lol.

Finished February's merfolk today actually. So I'm a little behind, I'll have to do the roll for March soon to get it done. Regardless, I'm really happy with this one! I originally had no idea what to do when I got the roll for this character, part of the reason it took so long honestly. But I came up with this and I love it! If you ask me, it definitely looks better when it's glowing under the UV light, but I still love it. The UV green paint definitely looks more yellow next to the other greens, but it's definitely the green one, lol.

Finally got another one of my LOTR paintings done, lol. Why is that? You guessed it, I'm meeting Andy Serkis today and wanted him to sign it. I'm also planning to meet John Rhys-Davies, but he was announced too close to the convention date and I couldn't get art of Gimli or Treebeard finished for him. I do have a talking Treebeard action figure though, I plan to get him to sign. XD

I might never finish this piece so I'm just uploading the sketch work here for now. This is an art piece I was working on of two characters myself and a friend have.

Nerida is a mermaid, or merfolk, and they use they/them pronouns, although they don't particularly care what you use since the idea of pronouns isn't really something their species of merfolk uses. They view it as a human thing. Lukas is a pirate who seems to have a lot of bad luck, but somehow always comes out alive, so many it's actually a lot of good luck. He's carefree, and doesn't have a huge amount of impulse control. Me and my friend joke a lot that he'd have to have some sort of god looking after him in order for him to still be alive.

Stickers have come in! Good news is that they'll be off to the store soon for purchase. Bad news is that I only realized now that I sent the wrong graphic in for printing for Angel Dust. Nothing major, just our boy is missing his blue rim lighting, lol. Oh well.

Can you tell what I was watching last night? I have other ideas from Emperor's New Groove I wanna do too, but they'll be more in depth than a silly potion bottle, lol.

Yes, there will be stickers eventually, whenever I can afford to get some more printed, I've got designs waiting and new ones coming. Hopefully I remember to post up the link once it is available, lol.
