I miss my life before my child.

When you feel like you've just set the breast pump down but it's time to pump again
Single Parenting
I give you so many props if you're working and single parenting. My husband has to be gone for work sometimes and this.shit.is.hard. No breaks. No passing the baby to someone else for just a few minutes. Just constant needing from the moment you get home from work until the next morning when it's time to go back.
I get what you’re saying about the constant posting of breastfeeding photos. I don’t want to see it either. It’s kinda sad that even mentioning how you felt in a moment is now an attempt to start a fight or attack your character. Defensive much?
I knew posting it would get some backlash, but I figured if the pictures can be posted, then I can post my complaint about it 🤷🏻♀️
The point is that some women might want to look back on it. Some women are proud to breastfeed. Some women want to normalize breastfeeding and not feel shamed for doing so in public, as it should be normalized and shame should never be felt, and taking and posting photos of them breastfeeding is maybe their way of trying to normalize it. You see more ADs of women in bras than you do of women nursing, yet the latter seems to offend you more.
We aren't ever going to agree on this, so we'll just have to call it an end right here.

And that's your prerogative, to not post photos of you breastfeeding. But it's also the prerogative of women who do choose to post them. On their personal social media accounts. Accounts you choose to follow. Breast are not sexual objects here to make you feel uncomfortable. They're on our bodies to feed our children if able to. You're entitled to your opinion on the subject as am I. But maybe, if at all possible, refrain from shaming women who do choose to post photos of their child nursing.
I unfollow when I see them, but they keep popping up anyway. I'll have my opinion, you have yours. Call it shaming if you like. And I didn't say I didn't want to see it because I think breasts are sexual objects; I just don't care to see pictures of someone breastfeeding every single time I open my social media platform in the same way I don't care to see someone bottle feeding every time. What's the point? We're feeding our kids like we're supposed to, no need to document it.
Nobody needs to "quit with the breastfeeding pictures." Some women have a difficult time with breastfeeding and want to be able to look back at a photo and remember how they endured a difficult time and pushed through. I had a horrible time breastfeeding in the begining and love that I have photos to look back on. If women can post photos bottle feeding, why not breastfeeding? Maybe, instead of shaming women for posting these photos, you could just not look? Unfollow them if need be.
Uh, actually, my baby didn’t latch for the first 12 weeks. I have pumped 8-9 times a day for her to make sure she received breastmilk. This week was the first week she has tried to latch properly and guess what? I still didn’t take pictures. And even if I would have taken pictures, I wouldn’t feel compelled to put them on social media. People can be salty about me saying something about this, but I can give the same advice: keep scrolling 🤷🏻♀️
