"Being a well-known and now-wealthy writer in a country of very poor people, most of whom do not or cannot read books, was troubling. What did it mean? What was the meaning of being me?"
â Mother Mary Comes to Me, Arundhati Roy.
This line snuck up to me. It made me wonder how reading and writing is still a luxury, a privilege to so many people out there. Here I am, aiming for higher studies and scientific discoveries and what not. And there are people out there who did not even have access to basic education. I hope I never take it for granted.
