With my moment of weakness this morning, I'll admitt something.

I miss my mom.

She is not dead, but I haven't been able to be around her due to my mental health.

I remember when I first saw her after my 1st cousin passed away.

After the funeral.... outside in the parking lot....

I literally gave her the biggest hug of my life and cried all the tears I had held in during the service.

That moment has stayed with me because it highlighted the bond between a mother and son who before that time had been fractured for years....

It all just crumbled away to be comforted by her.

As fleeting as that moment was I hold it close to my heart.

I envy the relationships that kids, old and young, have with their parents, even my own. I carry it like I do everything else, alone and tucked away.

the results when you look up anything about bpd. on Google etc

"how to deal with a borderline"

"how to love someone with bpd"

"can borderlines feel love"

"how to break up with a borderline"

how come there's countless articles on 'surviving' us for other people but nothing on how to survive ourselves?

How many bathrooms have I run to...

How many mirrors have I given pep talks to myself in....

How many times have I imagined it ending, how it ended....

The breakdown is as painful as the build-up. It's slow moving and a gradual piece by piece loss of self and worth.
